Thread: How do I beat a fencer in PVP?

My template is:
Master Rifle, Master Swordsmand, TKA 4004, Novice Medic
Im also sporting a top of the line Jawa Ion, T-21, and Powerhammer as well as stun resist helmet, chest, and leggings.
Just curious. Im not calling for a nerf, but you damn fencers are tough.

i'm sorry, i just had to do a double take... a master rifleman is having trouble beating a melee fighter? just stay beyond 30m and you're golden...

you realy think youll get the best answer if you ask the fencer how to beat them? =D

Fencers are tricky suckers.. They dont look like they're doing much damage.. but let your guard down and WHAM!. The best thing to do would be to make them fight you on your terms, cause with that rifle in your hands you become ours within' 20 meters.

Kite, keep them stunned and mind damage, or if for some reason you're one of those people who has to stand still make sure you intimidate them asap.
When kiting keeping a dizzy on them will stop them from burst running, might be a pain with all the dizzy resist. If you're having trouble hitting them find someone selling +accuracy food.

Set up a /flail macro so that you confuse the fencer's and they'll become disoriented! Then, and only then, will you be a true Flailer.

Buba! Anyway, Id say best way is to stack as many state effects on them. Get them intimidated, and stunned if you can. Defenses drop insane, and unless they are a doc(which most fencers arent) they wont be able to cure their own states and shall die shortly.
Also like someone said, and Im sure you know, make them play on your terms, not theirs.

I'm a master rifleman, and I kill fencers easy. just use that wonderful /burstrun and you're good to go. pop two vasarian brandies, and two vagnarian canapes. a few master headshots with your jawa and you're golden.
seriously, it's not that hard. fencer is melee. just run. use flurry2 to dizzy them and flushing2 to stun them, that can help too. oh yeah, and get a dxr-6b disruptor rifle. if you find that you keep missing with the jawa, switch to the disruptor. it's crazy accurate. sure it will take a few more shots to kill them 'cause it's acid damage, but oh well, at least you're hitting them.

3 skills that work incredibly well agasit fencers...
Intimidate, lowers our damage output + decresses or secondary defences (dodge loss hurts)
Blind, lowers our defence, our chance to hit + I noticed a slight decress in secondary defences.
Stun, Loss of an attack, not entirely sure if it will lower defences but I noticed I get hit alot more when I am stuned or intimidated blind isnt much of an issue other then when I am trying to hit someone.
Intimidate being the most dangerous to us IMO.
