Thread: Just want to say thanks for all the jedi fighting advice

Finally mastered fencer. Using all the tactics you recommended (still havn't gotten my hands on an aklay gaffi yet) and food you suggested, I went straight out today and grabed the first two jedi missions I could get. And the end result ... two victories!!! What a welcome sight after two months of getting owned as a master bounty hunter. Both fights where 1 on 1 and both us buffed. First fight was against an almost knight was kinda long .. about 10 minutes .. but I out lasted him. Second fight was a paddie and I made very short work of him and I didn't even get a dent in my ham. Sooooo in closing just want to thank the fencer community for giving all your tried tactics to an old school ranged bounty hunter who has seen the light.

Nice....were these knights or padawans? or somewheres in between?

Well based on the new bounty payout system for jedi (the higher ranking the jedi is the more money for his head), the first one was worth 225K - so he was almost a knight. The second one I fought was worth 75k - and he was a padawan.

Well then you will like this, mission number three was for 180k .. high level padawan? Found him on Dantooine grinding. He's buffed and I'm buffed. I jump him and go to work. This again is still with my regular 'ol gaffi w/pu (about 289 max). He is down and db'd in under 3 minutes. Then over the hill running at me is a jedi knight - TK master - and a doc/rifleman .. all grouped with my mark. The knight and I go at it first .. he hits my mind a bit before I can get him down. I almost managed to incap the knight before he force ran away. Next I turn to the tkm and rifleman. Dizzy lunge the rifleman and he goes down. meleehit3 him to a quick death (guess he wasn't buffed). Next, the tkm. We go at it for quite some time .. he's in full armor as am I. He can never really get me and I can never really get him. The knight comes back all healed up and they both gang me good. I managed to hold my own for quite some time before I eventually fell from the jedi's mind damage hits. Still, to take on 4 on 1 and almost win is pretty sweet !!! I LOVE the fencer trade .. whoever says they can't win with it must be a moron.

just make sure to say that it wasn't the fencer profession alone that allowed you to do it... it was alsoyour preparation (we don't want any misled peoplecrying nerf )

little advise from me as a fellow fanatic jedi killer
try getting some FS skills they realy help

Oh yeah ?? I would be intrested in knowing what works best to further enhance our skills. I know absolutely nothing about the force sensitive trees other than it takes a ton of xp to go up them. I really don't have that many extra skill points to invest without dropping something from pistols, which I have strickly for the defenses (0 0 4 4).

well the FS skills only cost 1 SP per box witch is very nice
most people combine tka with fencer for defnces so u could drop some tka skill and get same defences AND extra acc and speed
