Hi everyone, I am training for Novice Fencer and I have Expert 1h. I want to know what kind of armor I should wear, if speed is everything for a fencer. Is there a light type of armor? Or am I forced to stick with designer clothes, casual shirts, and vests? Please reply.

I use a personal shield generator. It works pretty well, instead of getting hit like 180, I get hit 70. Only works against blasters though.

I had a whole suit of bone armour for a while when I first started. Then after reading some posts here I tried fighting without it and noticed a significant difference in my effectiveness. Right now I don't wear any armour and have not for a while.

Just get yourself some nice threads and be happy in the fact you don't look like the 20000 other gun-boys with thier rifles and bone/chitin armour suits. Your one of a very select few, enjoy it.

I dont wear armor either. I wear the clothes they gave us in the beginning mostly because it doesnt take damage its always 1000/1000 and its perma insured I think. So that saves us some credits.

Well as a Master 1h, I got a wardrobe...I got the all black outfit w/ matching head wrap and gloves -winter outfit..and my desert outfit. If you're gonna kick @ss u gotta do it w/ style. The best part is, I got most of this stuff off of NPC's who took my un-armored character as easy prey. Right now I got the Sammauri Jack look going.

I got this jacket, I think it's called a dress uniform jacket, from a npc that looks like it has armor attached to it. It looks sweet, the lower portion of the chest is covered my metal plating that's actually reflective. I've even been asked what type of armor I'm wearing.

I dunno armor seems like a waste. The better the protection....the more obscene the HAM cost is. Someone should really add upa total ham cost on a full suit of Ubese or Padded...it's absurd. All you're burn statslikestrength, quickness, and focus will go downby 200-300 points and you'll behitting yourself fora 100 more dmg on each special you do. Plus, you'll have absolutely no regen, whatsoever. If Ican get enough faction points, I'd buy faction armor. That stuff is worth it. I have a rebel helmet right now. I only wearit during pvp, but it protects my head real good from the overabundant rifleman headshot andpeople shooting me in the eye.

I used to wear Maribi, Chitin, and Bone had full sets of all, but then i started wearing Cloaks and Spec ops dusters, along with matching black clothes. Not only does it look cooler..(hehe) but it doesnt hinder your stats.

So...if you want to be a fencer, dont wear armour, it looks bad hinders your stats, lowers your speed. Look the part, dress well...lol.

I'm so glad to hear this. Armor is no fun. Clothes are.

And swords!

Armor isn't a must, but it can be real handy, especially when fighting the tougher mobs.

Any armor (except basic bone) gives you a 50% off kinetic damage. That's darned nice. You don't need a full suit of it, though. So even cheap mabari or chiton works terrific. Myself, I wear a chiton chest plate, leggings, and helm. That's it. With a stun baton, I look like I'm ready for a riot.

A suit of bone with a kinetic layer has very minimal HAM costs and is dirt cheap.

My 70% kinetic resist helmet cost me a bundle, but when you die on mind, it's the thing to have.
