It's a strange thing, these virtual connections we make with people. Often, we never see them ornever talk to them in person, yet we learn what people are like on the inside. Those connections grow and to each of us, they aren't so virtual anymore. When someone dies, it effects us whether its real or virtual.
I'm very sad to announce that one of our dedicated correspondents is no longer with us.The one we knew as Raphayl has passed away. Some time before 7:00am Friday morning, May 21, Raphayl lost control of her car on Hiway 9 near the I-35. The car came to rest upside down in the drainage ditch to the south of the road. The coroner said she was unconscious when she drowned. Closed-casket funeral services were held last Thursday, May 27th, and she was buried in the Resthaven Cemetary on 104th.
I don't know how well you knew my sister, so I don't know how this will impact you. If she was a close friend, cards and flowers can be sent to:
The Blackwood Family
9501 S. I-35 Service Road # 1108
Moore, Ok 73160
Prayers for the family are always welcome. Raphayl is survived by her 6-year-old son, William.
If you know of any of her friends that have not been informed, please help me to let them know.
Sincerely,
James N. Blackwood
Thanks toFURY_Chaser for letting us know. None of us were fortunate to meet her in real life, but she will still be greatly missed. I spoke with Q-3PO and Blair and when we put a new melee weapon in the game, we're going to put a named weapon in for her.
Rest In Peace, Raphayl. We'll miss you.
