there is one problem with this, even though we are fencers, we are the "one handed melee profession" not the "one handed melee master who can use both hands" we get one handed xp we are a one handed swordsman. it would be cool but then we might as well give pikeman a rifle cert ( a lil drastic but just to get my point across)

Been suggested, and it wouldn't work animation wise with current Fencer moves... an entirely seperate Motion Capture was done for duel one handed... but the technical aspects require so much background work that it's not comeing in the forseeable future.
And I still maintain that I'd rather have new content than two weak weapons with animation which only equals a single weapon mechanically.

We can work on this after getting a fencer sword and getting to use the maurader sword!

Are you talking about the one from the Ewok movie?

isn't that a pistoleer dream? two one handers? i don't see how 2 swords can be better than one sickass fast baton in one hand stabbing away at you.
two swords in each hand only lets you swing, and its double the weight.
And you still cant hit head efficiently

I'm no Fencer or ever have been, but i think if anyone is going to get it it should be fencers. You guys have sticks/batons, dual wield would be awesome for fencers, a ninja like warrior jumping/spinning hitting different body parts of the enemy.
Swordsman are that, swordsman. Pikes have pikes, and TKA are unarmed w/ fist augmentations.

I wasnt aware that Fencer's IRL were allowed to dual wield their swords, but that could be just me...
Now RL olympic fencers using acklay stun batons? /drool =P
But anyway, i say no to dual wield 'One handed' is fine with me

Actually.. fencers began wielding with two hands..
The sword was wider the the traditional sport rapier people think of and a dagger was used in the other hand for parry's, defence and the occasional counter attack.
Mostly, fencing came about due to guns and armor of the time.. when gunpowder became more frequent the armor grew be amazingly heavy trying to stop gunshot. The smaller and thinner swordstyle came into play because they allowed a man to get in the crooks between the armor to kill the opponent.
Later on it became the gentlemens form it is regarded today.. but that was past the 16th century..

Yea.. ever since the hebrews and phonecians we have had calvalry in war..
We don't have that here either. Slings, bows, arrows.. shields. All the simple things are beyond us. We can have guns and vehicles but cannot mount a gun on a vehicle. Cannot fire while riding at all..
Fencer do not fence here.. they dodge with a stick. Swordsmen use a hammer. Riflemen can shoot you all day but dashing you in the head with the stock of their weapon is beyond them..
Alot of things are not like real life here.. We do not even have half the pieces that determined tactics in the medieval period. Without calvalry or siege capabilities or encampments... with melee weapons far more superior than the gun.. glowswords.. I could not equate this with the 16th century..
It would be more like 10,000 BC if looked at in a tactical light. We just have charges with hand weapons or retreats really.. and the cavemen had that.

Hm, thats made me think..
Jedi vs M16
How does the jedi block all 30 rounds from a clip? saber block would melt them and they would still hit him anyway, after melting - painful, lmao..
They could use force powers i guess, but thats cheating - the damn exploiting hackers!

*Remisk* Hello and thank you for making such a great game. I would like to ask if you have any plans on implementing Dual Wielding pistols, and if so, how likely would you say it is to be achieved?... Thanks.
TH: Not right now and definitely not part of the Combat Upgrade, but something we do want to do someday

It could happen if pistoleers get dual wielding.
