I looked through the FAQ links and such and it really didn't answer my question. It's a good quick overall faq...

but what i'lloking for is what is the best way to advance through the Fencer Trees... as in what attack shoul i go for which tree is better etc.

After that the debates on what weapon seem this or that. Was looking to see an overall viewpoint from the people that play fencer if that's possible.

After that what type of mobs do people generally hunt.

thats all.

thanks in advance.

I see that a recommended tree path is to go up footwork and get spin attack 2.

is that a fair evaulation of what i should be gunning for or is there something better.

I also see a lot about getting a stun batton. But from the faq they say that they are not as good...

any thoughts.

Ya, Go up footwork so you get all the speed bonus's, Get all your weapons you can use, don't really need the straight sword. Things I have in my inventory for fencer are (curved sword 94-174 sliced to 1.5 speed, Ryk, Garfitti Baton, and the other weapon that does AP1 "light armor percing" damage) I also have a full setup of Ubese 65% kinetic resist armor. I find its better then composite while leveling because of its low encumbance and faster regen allowance. I buff fulling and have brandy. I solo Quenkers or pickets on Dantoonie for very good exp and they don't even come close to killing me.

I do pretty much the same as the guy above except I use Chitin armor except for the Chest plate and helm as those are my most vital parts, thus I use 80% kinetic comp on them. My Chitin armor is 52% kinetic resist so when I use intimidate a 300 damage attack comes down too 75... and then with AR1 It gets lowered even further.

If your buffed, stick to cheap-throw-away armor, I use eather ubese(60k a suit or less) or padded (30k a suit)

if your soloing, you might wana get melee mit1 first, but if not (or after that) go footwork, all the way to 4.

Once you do that, stick to damage sliced gaffi batons (use curved swords to get to footwork 4)

For all my combat professions I have always went right upto the lair, actually attacked it first, and just stuck a macro to spin attack every second, leave it a few mins, viola, lair and mobs are dead, but only attempt that buffed with armor.

Some lairs, like Gurks on lok, spawn many, many, many mobs if you tap the lair, so they can be quite deadly, but if you have some medic/brandy/muon, well, i master'd pike in a day=D

I'm doing quenkers for fencer. It's pretty fast, very safe, and very convenient since my friend's PA has a nice city on dant I can hang around and get buffs at. Always get doc buffs, entertainer buffs, do the 6.8k-ish savage quenker missions once you're past novice fencer. I'm wearing full ubese for this, and usually use my gaddi stick because it gets nice and fast as you go up the footwork tree and usually hits harder than other weapons.

Hit 2 is a good move to use until you get spin hit 2, then spin hit 2 multiple quenkers at once to maximize efficiency. Using spin hit 1 is slightly slower than mowing down those silly rats with Hit 2 one ata time, unless there's more than 3 on you.

Quenkers or their Savage brothers work well for Fencer, as well as other skills. I mastered Fencer on Quenkers and am working on Smuggler with Quenkers. When they gang up on me, I switch to my trusty sword and wipe them out. God I love Blademaster

I have a new toon on Sunrunner that will be a Fencer/CH. I went to LOK last night with a friend of mine who is a 0/3/0/2 Swordsman. This is what I had before LOK:

20K Credits

Just obtained 1H III, I had 100 xp in 1h IV

Explore II

the original scout clothes on my back

After a buff and a trip to LOK we took Gurk and Slat Mynock missions.

2 hours later I had:

76K of 1h Xp, enough for 1H IV and 6K into Novice Fencer

Explore IV and up to Hunt II

55K in credits

2.3K OQ 900 Whoki meat.

Not a bad two hours.

DidI mention that I was unarmored? NOTE: My freind did do most (all) of the Tanking!

only one incap from a mind wound. (Hello Brandy!)

I likeLOK!

I started out on Dant doing quenkers, then savage quenkers, and now I'm on to Piket Plains Walkers. I get more total per lair, and they take about as much time as Quenkers did at the beginning. I figure the time spent per xp/$$ evens out in the end, it's just good to get a change. And it's a whole lot of fun to be surrounded by 7 gigantic creatures, and my HAM never even moves... golly I love fencer.

Played for about 2 hours this morning, went from 1-4-0-2 to 3-4-1-3. Made about 400k in cash. Not bad for a morning's work.
