Thread: mastering fencer.. what ranged prof do you guys suggest I master?
Haha i'll debate that, rifles are way overused. Making them lame and ununique. Up until tonight i really tried to level rifleman, but i hate it, CARBINES to me seem way cooler, so im doin master fencer/master carb/ranged support 4/and 1/0/4/3 pistoleer. This pretty much caps you on ranged and melee def. caps the dodge, and gives you a really nice +115 def to kd. Say what you will i dont think rifles are the be all end all of this game.
I agree..everyone and their brother is a Rifleman/(insert profession) template..so why not do something that everyone else is NOT doing. I hear Carbs is good, because of the ranged dizzy and kd they get.
Mine is kinda goofy, but I've always wanted to be a smuggler.
Master Smuggler (low blow and last ditch, and oh yeah..feign death)
Master Fencer (great defenses)
TKA 4-0-0-0 (for meditation instead of novice medic and force of will, just in case)
Pistoleer 0-0-4-0 (added defenses to the fencer line)

I have Master Fencer, Master Carbs and 4004 TKA and I love it. I hate Riflemen and I actually happen to love Carbines, so it was a natural choice for a ranged profession.
Just yesterday, I was dueling a Rifleman - I was using the FullAuto series to stick a dizzy on him, then use posture down/Chargeshot (KD) to keep him still, and Id move in for the Stun Baton melee kill.
Carbines are extremely useful for setting up a target for a Fencer kill in PvP. Rifleman/Fencer would simply consist of you primarily using your Rifle with the Fencer defense bonuses.
