Technically im not a fencer atm, but i have been one and am thinkin of becomin one again. When i mastered for the first timei only used it in PvE, not the wisest choice but hey, and honestly, i did not notice the dodge at all. I kept getting hit the same amount of times, even tho the dodge animation was going on. So i just wondered if the dodge makes a difference or even works in PvE, or whether it was just me bugging. This time around tho im going smuggler 0440, master pistoleer and master fencer so the dodge cap should be very nice

You won't see dodge at all if ur going for the high end combat... but other than that nothing else can hit u. CoB is great.. you will hardly get hit if your attacking things such as Mokks or Tuskens. In PVP it works great although you will get hit.. just not as often.

well when i mastered i didnt really leave dathomir till i dropped it, so all i did was rancors, should i have noticed it then? Also where is the line seperatng things you can dodge and things you cant. Mokks and Tuskens are fine for me but sum times i liek to try the odd Krayt etc.

No way in hell a fencer alone can solo a krayt they heal themselves and u cant dodge em

Master Fencer/Doc could pull off a canyon Krayt, you'd jseu be there for quite some time and use alot of stims. And someone'd kill it anyway before you got the kill rights lol

some things are just flat out hard or impossible to dodge (elders, krayts, etc..) but i went to dant to test out my new found mastery, i ran straight into a piket lair, hit them all with intimidate 2 and hit CoB , and i swear i went for a good 5 minutes only getting hit a hand full of times, which my armor and buffs gladly absorbed.
and yes it works in pvp to, to some extent. i was only novice fencer, and my freind as a master rifleman wanted to test something, so i stood still while he shot at me from crouched position. out of 5 shots, only 2 landed. this was without intimidate 2 or cob. both of us was preety impressed.
same thing with a commando i fought, out of 3 shots at point blank range, 1 landed. both of us standing still, me without cob or intimidate 2.

I'm not too sure if Intimidate lessens the chance of your enemy being able to hit you, but I darn sure know it lowers their damage, along with stun. Try blinding your enemy (if blind even works).

Stun drops all your defence against anything into the no point in having them level, intimidate halves damage and basically turns off CoB and negates Dodge.

actually, intimidate does decrease there hit rate. "when a target is intimidated, they are not able to hit their target as often" ----text taken straight from the description of the intimidate move from the brawler tree.

when i was a "full-time fencer" i could pretty much solo the tusken bunker without getting hit a single time, but in pvp i got hit all the time, even with CoB, intimidate and pikatta pie (+50% chance to dodge), i could barely dodge anything in pvp

I roam around the Squill cave without armor and COB running and blinding them, I only get hit once every 15 attacks I get from squills, it's great until I get stunned or intimidated which lowers the chances of dodging- yes intimidate does lower your defense too but not as much as stun does.

Next time you get a chance turn on CoB and your combat log and run straight into the middle of a group of Mokks. You will be absolutely amazed at how little you get hit. Like a previous poster said, you get hit so seldom that when you do get hit your armor has no problem absorbing the blow. A master fencer has no reason to even use armor on the tough content (other than kimos, krayts) because the CoB and dodge prevents us from getting hit most of the time.
