Thread: PvP Tactics.....

I am (or will be in a very short time) Master Fencer/Master Smuggler......And I am interested in PvP, but I really dont know what tactics to use. I know a few, dont get kited, ok thats about it.


So I want to know what you guys do, when fighting whoever. Give an example of a Melee, and ranged opponent.

Just like what attacks, buff/armor? Brandy? PvP food?


I also am not really sure what I should do with my remaining skill points. It will either be Novice medc (then not sure what skills to get with remaining sp) or TKA, Meditation line.

Ok heres a few things you need if you want to do well in pvp for items


1) BE Brandy


2) BE Canape


3)80% kinetic armor, and as high of a stun resist helmet you can find


4) Acklay Stun Baton or a 30%+ dmg sliced normal stun baton


5)Synthesteak (sp?) makes you take xx% of less damage


Fighting tactics


1) 1 handed dizzy 2 is a very nice area attack to use when trying to fight more than one melee profession


2) Scatter Hit 2 works well because it hits all pools of damage


3) 1 handed lunge is great for chasing down a ranged class or combat medic


What to do with your remaining points...hmmmm I suggest you do Meditation 1-4 because then as long as your buffed with armor you won't really need to heal. If you do manage to take wounds you can just meditate them off.

Can someone with exp post about taking a TKM with comp and buffs, going up against a rifleman, and going against a template stacker (ie ur average joe who goes mutliple profs to cap his/her mods).


The Brandy, Muon, Canape, Synthsteak, are good to have on hand


Some good adv padded, adv comp has worked fine for me, but my damage always gets me killed when fighting a template stacker or TKM, how can we take on out when we cant deal damage? cause if ur anyone in pvp ur wearing adv comp with stun protection

If your fighting multiple opponents also use blind2, it makes you harder to hit. So blind2 and dizzy2 a few times, maybe throw a couple intimidates, then single one out and dizzy/lunge scatter hit 2 OR, if for some reason they cant heal, then you might want to bodyhit3. I would just stick to scatter2 though, in my experience it does more damage, especially helpful since it can hit the mind.

try to get off the first dizzy/lunge and scatter hit2..using dizzy2 every once in a while to make sure they stay dizzied. If they dont fall, or get back up too quickly, I start doing blind2/spin2/dizzy2/hit3(or scatter2)/lunge until the lunge sticks then scatter after that lol

If you can't land a Lunge/Dizzy off the bat, Blind 2 them, and then intimidate a few times. then just go to work on them with the stun baton and scatter 2. Against ranged opponents, have that center of being going and try to lunge them down and then land a dizzy. if they are too far away, run the other way and wait for a good time to strike. Withe defense stackers, just hit them hard, don't worry about states except for intimidate (no one has good defense) and try to blind them let the rest go.

Intim 1 and 2 "do" the same thing, just intimidateion 2 sticks more (+ intimidation mod at mstr) and lasts longer



You are mstr smuggler, you dont NEED Mstr brawler (All anyone wants it for is the KD), It's to bad smugglers get no mods, if I were you, I would (depending on howmany points you have) take up some pistolierre, like say, marksman 2 (geo pistol), some speed tree.



you do Not need to take upTechnique, Last-ditch is more powerful then stoppingshot, and if you have hte whole speed tree, the delay will be low enough that it averages higher dps then fanshot

okay to better myself off in pvp should i go for master brawler, i was it before but dropped when they nerfed warcry2, or should i go for ups in stats from other professions (ie pikeman or tkm tiers)


i think lunge2 is awesomw it worked wonders before, is intimadate 2 any better than intimadate1?

the reason people take the tech. tree in pistoleer is because of the defenses, not the actual moves you get...

A lot of people are suggesting blind2 to apply the blind status effect. Good status effect but if you're only facing 1 opponent, you're better off with 1handedHit3 since it can apply blind also but has a higher damage multiplier. If there's more than one person around you, you can use blind2 instead for the area blind.

Agreed, hit3 has a 33% chance of slapping blind, I belive blind2 is an 80%, since the 'blinded' state really doesnt make a noticable difference aginst most classes.. i dont even bother.



Tkm isnt going to miss with it, not much, and I never notice a signifficant miss-ammount blinded, but then again my batons have a point in mods, so if they are negative, its not much

well i cant go smuggler or pistoleer cause one dont have SP and 2 its not in my character to go ranged prof. im a pirate and i'l stick with my sword or my fists any day. which is why im thinkin master brawler or some of TK tiers. The lunge2 is awesome worked wonders for me in psat, but this only applies to ranged people. how do we stop the people with capped defenses and are immune to KD, our damage sucks so we can barely deal damage if they are wearing comp/buffs.


how do we get past that?

take the melee/ranged def tree of tkm, trust me ull notice the difference

when fighting always use cob(get a macro) when fighting 1 on 1 i use intimidate first then try dizzy/posture down then i think uits bodyhit or healthhit, whichever one sticks the bleed, then scatter or 1handed 3 hit
