I've read a few posts mentioning people with gaffi sticks whose HAM costs lies most heavily in the health, and whose damage is quite nice. Is this true of most gaffi sticks, or "Advanced gaffis"? Although I wanna use a sword, I think I'd rather do more damage

Gaffi Sticks are great for damage, but not for looks. I had mine sliced up to 260 damage max. For the HAM costs, they aren't too terrible but don't spam your specials otherwise you'll kill yourself. I can't wait until Sunburns start working again.

lol, I've gotten past looks at this point My curved sword is both faster and stronger than my vibroblade, but the ham costs kill me in seconds via mind and action (I'm a lizard). Soooooo I use the dreaded butter knife. Can't say it isn't fun to stalk Spice fiends in Bestine's "ghetto" with that knife in my cammie pants, a headwrap, and no shirt...Ohhhhh yeah, I felt like a scurvy lil pirate

I like my Pimp Cane.Gaffi is by far the best weapon for a Fencer once you've got your speed up high enough to compensate for the slower speed of the weapon. Sometimes, until then, however, I advise using an ordinary Sword as opposed to a Curved/Ryyk. I still switch to Vibro for armored opponents.

You do know that using the vibroblade even vs. things with no armor rating, it does 25% more damage. I use my vibroblade ALL the time, cause the only way us fencers can compensate for our low damage output is to SPAM specials. I'm just gonna get a gaddi baton for duels where HAM costs really don't matter as much.

I have been using a Gaffi Stick for 2 days now. Melee Hit 2 scores 1200-1600 damage nominal on AP0. Pretty happy with it when I am not wearing armor.

Another thing, there is some problem here. I get less wound when I use my Gaffi Stick and empty most of HAM w/ no armor. I get considerably less wounds. ... It means when we use our butterknifewe get hit a whole a lot more for a longer time even with some armor. (Can we have more effecitve dodge and parry?I mean right now I am essentially apunching bag without dizz/blind combo.)

I'm a Master Doctor/ Fencer(1422) so the with my buffs the cost on ham is either 0 ham or close to it, with the exception of maybe 25 mind per swing. I use only 2 weapons now, the Gaffi Baton and the Stun Baton. The Gaffi has the highest dmg output by far than the Vibro or Curved Sword or Ryyk. I used a curved sword til i got footwork 2 and the speed mods kicked in for the Gaffi Baton. The Vibro Blade has AR1 but the base dmg on it doesn't compare at all even with the 25% increase to the Curved Sword and especially the Gaffi Baton. I use the Gaffi on all mobs/npc's except the ones with a high AR and/or high kinetic resists, then i use the Stun Baton cause usually they arevulnerable to Stun dmg if they have the other resists. And vulnerability to a type of dmg with negate any ARwhatsoever.

wooohoo! Just bought a gaffi off the bazaar for a reasonable price with some desirable stats. 90-181, HAM cost are I believe 55/33/15 which rocks because I'm a lizard...Speed is 4.2, so I need to get that sliced It does some awesome damage though...body hit 2 does a good 650-700ish damage PvE. Fairly nice for PvP too. Range mods are all -9, but regardless of that I still seem to hit more than I miss. Must..get...custom...gaffi....Speaking of which, know any master weaponsmiths on Kettemoor who make melee weapons, gaffi's included? I can't find any

Andover D'Monet on Kettemoor does good work, and he's always worked with me. I once merely mentioned the adv vibroblade cores when they first came out, and he up and made one that moment and handed it to me for free to try it. Granted, I doubt he'll give away weapons like that (I had just spent 10K), but he'll be straight forward and helpful. Let him know Altair sent you.

anyone on the flurry server whos a fencer should visit riona's shop, just bought a gadafi which is 130-220, 2.3speed sliced... cost a lot but worth it! I also saw some high damage sliced, like 170-284, speed 3.5.. her shop is near coronet.

Dang I'd like the 283, mines 259 =/ I down a sunburn and only thing that stops me is my mind =/
