Please explain. I've never seen anything close to that, unless someone got off a oneHandedHit3 on a prone rifle using NPC.

I've never seena hit that hard from any melee class. What kind of weapon did you achieve that with?

I couldn't stand it anymore. 4 levels of 1h sword and then novice fencer...and I still couldnt defend myself. I released all melee skills and took up pistol. know what i found? just 2 levels of pistol was superior to novice fencer. Now Im not suggesting everyone abandon it...but i *am* suggesting the devs take a hard look at how things run. it takes just as much exp and costs just as many char points. we're already limited by range.... there must be some kind of balance.

oh ye of little faith hehehe i just made lv 4 2 days ago, and i can bleed the baddies for almost 2k, and I've hitten for 5100 before. I'm super frikken fast too, I was able to solo a fambaa although was kinda miffed cause they only give me 3100 xp and the narg cave was giving me 3400-3600 xp on the females. but yes this game is geared toward ranged attacks not gonna debate ya there. good hunting!

I am hitting ranged users for at least that much when they are standing, but in PvPI tend to get capped near 600 damage for a hit on an unarmored opponent, which is still a lot less than 5000+ divided by 4.

I have 0,1,0,0 on fencer and I can take out alot bigger creatures and npc's now. I remember when I first started. wow I could barely take out a grubber, and not to mention gurrcats would have their way with me...no I can take on 2 or 3 gurcatts at a time and give them the what for...along with bigger sized creatures. I can't wait to make level 4 in the fencer skills.

Iwas on Naboo fighting a NPC char and It was a riffleman I do not know if it was because he was prone or not, but Iknow it was a one hit kill and I was amazed and had to double check how he went down so fast and it was listed there that I used such and such attack for 5137 damage! Funny thing was the highest skillI had at the time was footwork 3 soI thinkI was using melee hit 2 with a sliced curved or vibro blade not sure wich, cause I use a stun regularly as well as a curved or vibo depending on my mood. I also use a sliced gadaffi stick that does 300 max damage with my power ups I make. I also use personalized Attack macros and the particular one I thinkI used on him "Kamehameha" uses the lunge dizzy, followed by a melee hit 2 and then a bleed. this has been at least 2-3 weeks ago now and it seems my high hits lately are only 1500-1800. I'm not sure if it's the areaI fight now or what my deal is, butI would frequently hit in mid to high 2k damage on most things I attacked then.

Kinda funny how I run up to those pistoleers and they don't even know what happened to them

Well, there's been a bug lately that I've run into concerning damage amounts. My pets and myself have found ourselves hitting NPC's for well over 1.5k damage when they are standing and not using a rifle (Also, I'm 0-0-2-2). The pets shouldn't be hitting for that much A) because no tamable pet hits for that much, and B) they were mature hanadak rock smashers who hit for about 340-350 or something around there. This also happens with lairs and bases from time to time.

So let me get this straight you quit because you are just a one hand sword user... and not even @ the Novice level of Fencer yet?

Sounds like Falkon got what I like tothink of as'the sweet hit'. Take a rifleman, what is it, 2.5x melee damage penalty? Lay him prone and get, oh, about another 2x damage. Ifthe rifleman's unarmored, even sweeter.

Rhensis, it's too bad you decided to go pistol, but in theend it's all about what makes you happy. I don't even recall being anything resembling tough untilI got to novice Fencer and got a box or two.Nowadays,about the only thing I worry about when I try to tackle different creatures is whether they're social.

I also find myself lately not getting a bonus for when rifleman or whatever are laying prone, but sometimes i get it when they are standing, or sometimes not at all!

But, when i was just a novice fencer, i was swinging with my gaffi stick (111-211) at the time, and i hit for 3700 on a standing tusken raider. Explain how, i almost crapped myself, but ive seen a master Pikeman hit for 8k+ and ive seen i think a bounty hunter (whatever gets flamethrower) hit for 8750 damage before. Ive got screens, leave an email if any of you want them.
