first, there has never been a cap of 125 ever offically posted anywhere....
Im tired of everyone saying Its 125. TH in one post said he thinks it will be 125 but is not sure, hell have to get back to us and confirm, and never got back to us
If anyone has any proof, IE link to the thread, I would greatly appreciate it, otherwise, please stop posting the cap is 125, cause its NOT conifrmed
even if you spend all your pts on melee / ranged def you should not be a god, spending 250 pts on combat and being pvp ready will get you farther than most, but it is ridiculous that a character with a crafting mastery and a combat mastery cannot even hit you, what im saying is that you should be more powerful than someone who spends say 125 points on combat, but you shouldnt be 20 times as powerful, and believe me without another defense stacker present, people really were 20 times more powerful
and thanks everyone for answering my post, as i can see there is no definite # as of nowbut everyone seems to agree that there was a cap and combat is acting more as it should, without gods, just warriors
I have been trying to get a strait answer on this myself. In an attempt to find the information I sent in a ticket to SOE asking them if the melee and range defense were in fact capped. Like usual I got the standard answer that directed me back to their online knowledge base (which I used) and also back to the board where I am now again.
Basically they will not give us an answer from what I have seen. What is the big secret? They can tell us that the secondary defenses (counter, block, and dodge) have been capped at 125, but they can't tell us about melee or ranged? I do not think it is right that they make us rely on the word of other players, afterall we did not design this game.
Even if we were to take the time to test these, I do not think there is any way for us to figure out what our cap is. I have not given up with my ticket and will conitnue to add comments to it as long as I do not get an answer. Maybe someone will finally see it that actually knows how it works, then I might get the answer for us all.
Too bad we have to work so hard to get the answers that should be provided to us with our subscription.

It has been stated in the last dev's live chat thier is a CAP on melee, range, an secondaries of 125. If you look at some of the logs posted which do have an link to them. It will state that the DEV's did say thier is a hard cap, even though it doesnt show it in the game. They cap'd it at 125. Trust me on this, I am surpised that Fury_Chaser hasn't posted this same exact information just yet. This thread should of died a few days ago... So... Stop posting on it.. Thier is a cap of 125 max. You do not see it in the game. If you do not belieave me fine, wiast your points. ^-^
