Thread: Spin Attack

Ok, I have noticed if you slay a creature with spin attack and only spin attack, it works fine... except for those things you have been hitting without having them targetted. If they die to only that... no xp! explaination? Or is there a fix in planning?

Well I haven't had this problem myself.


Could it have been a baby creature that you killed on the side. Babies give no xp.


Are you noticing this solo or in a group? Or both?

Solo, I havent tried group. What I usually do, as I assumed would be great xp, is rush any random lairs, beat them all the way, then once dead, target one of the many mobs on me and start spinattacking. I can rip down 5 whites no problem with my gear, but I only get xp on one of them, maybe 2 if my target died before the rest.

Spin Attack gives exp for anything it hits.


This works great agaisnt creature lairs.

I guess I'll just have to play around with it more when I get home, but I neeever see the xp

I was tklm pre cu. respeced to mbh/mpistoleer. im thinking of going back to tkm, but i dont see if tkm has a area attack anymore. is this right? if not will we get a area attack again someday:? pre cu tkm was the bomb. also, and other professions that is a plus to have?

Nope...no spin attack anymore...we are damage sponges now. Although there are many discussions on how to get some good TK dmg dealing going...if you want melee spin attacks...go Jedi or Pikeman....

MTK is not the bomb anymore unless you pair some other damage dealing class to augment it, ranged or melee...

Although we don't need armor anymore

Not uber i do not want to b the flavor of the month more so than we are now but either way the moer we are increased the more dabblers Also we will never b uber teras kasi is supposed to b balanced with all other regular battle proffesions not including jedi so by making us uber we set ourselves up for the nerf bad as the jedi do all we shouldb pushing for now is that the fow is fixed and maybe cob while moving not more damage we are the second best tanks in the game only second to jedi master defenders with damage that my not b up to scale with other proffesions but we are a uber tank. Though many will say nko we arent tough enough we are 3 and others are 2 yet they get more damage well tks have better speed that makes up for the damage for every 1 hit for them we get 2 hits kind of think in my opinion that is what they ment. But since everytime i say something like this i get flamed.

Do you know how freakin' painful it is to read these types of posts? I am sorry to be picky here, but for the love of god, take a breath so we can. Even E.E. Cummings would hit the 'return' key from time to time.

Teras Kasi is absolutely fine at the moment, minus maybe FOW still being garbage. I would like to see COB and PB moved higher in the tree, but TK with a little healing can take damage better than any non-jedi template in the game. Dabble in others for offense if you need. The opposite is why they dabble in TK for defense. A dot, a knockdown, AB, COB, PB, Innate Armor, a decent (although reporting is still broken) offensive attack, and the ability to clothing mod in ANY way your heart desires. This profession is blessed and other than fixing a single skill, and possibly move a few skills a bit higher, no changes are necessary.

I concur. I notice when grouped and without CoB running, I still take less damage than those in the group. I usually take anywhere from 140 to 170 in damage without CoB. If I have CoB running, my damage is usually anywhere from 92 to 120; depending on the mob's level. I got Master Swordsman so I could do some serious damage.

tkm is really only worth it i see for free armor. sure, lines are worth it, but the profession in general needs some fixing.


i dont think tk should get a spin attack, but fencer should get their kd back, and swordsman should get a spin attack... so 2 melee profs have a kd and 2 have spin attack. not giving one prof too much.
