Thread: Fencer/TK/Pistoleer Template. Did I Miss Something?

My template is this:


Master Fencer

TKA 4304

Pistoleer 1044

Scout 3020


I believe my melee defense and dodge are capped, ranged defense is +116. Def against KD 120, def angainst dizzy +85, def against blind +90, etc...

Am I wasteing SP in the wrong area or miss some skills I should have pickrd up?

If you plan to pvp, you're missing 4030 doc (poisons/disease cures).

Ok, that said, your missing the 4-0-3-0 Doc for cures.



That was the first reply for a reason.



Second, it takes 2-0-0-0 to cap dodge=P


So, lose the hunting hehe.




Cumo, I play on bria btw, and I can vouch FIRST HAND that doctors will not be able to cure you fast enough. Especially when it SAYS were 0m apart, yet your really 30.



The motto: Be your own army, Otherwise, a CM will bend you over. (Which they do anyway, our 2000dmg mind poisons are just to powerful)

Screw CM. I dont care, their range is getting nerfed and not every one who PvPs is a CM. Im not about to base a template only for one profession. There are also random PvP encounters where CMs wont be as well as duels and PvE. Doc isn't going to happen. Im not wasting a ton of skill points so I can make a carbon copy of everyone elses anti CM template. CM/Rifleman can kill docs quite easily.


That said, does anyone have any contructive criticisim about this template?

99%.



And their range ISNT being nerfed, its being FIXED back to the value stated on the pack.



Which is aprox 64 meters, Yes a CM/Rifleman can still kill a doctor, but they dont ALWAYS win.



Stacking only helps you on melee stuff, after that the ranged eat you apart, Doc is important.



PvP is fun until a CM rolls around, then its all lame pvp

you're in for a big surprise if you think that cm's will only be in battles everyonce in awhile...unless it's just like that on your server

I think you are missing that there are more Fencer/pike defense/dot stackersthan CM/Rifleman around these days. You are a carbon copy.

Yeah, I was thining the same thing today, about the tka fencer pistoleer template..but mine was a bit different..


But you said the dodge could be capped, is this true..everyone i have asked in SWG has no clue about teh caps of stuff..


What can be capped, dodge, accuracy, speed ????


all i know is that you can't attack faster then 1 sec in the game..but if dodge can be capped, then i migth as well change my projected template.


I was goign to go master pistoleer and fencer..while going 0304 in tka, and 0020 in medic or something like that


but i'm also a noob to the game, and had another question..does the meditate skill 4000 tka help that much??


other then that, i personally thought any combo of tka pistoleer and fencer was pretty powerful..because of the high dodge, and high melee and range defense... only problem might be y our damage output..but i suppose it would even out if you had high defense..

All DEfenses cap at 125.


That includes Melee/Ranged defense (It will show you as having 170 or whatnot, but only 125 is factored in)


That includes State defenses (Def Vs Stun etc. This seems to not be true though, there is supose to be a 90% hard-cap that is not working, anyway 125 again)


This includes Secondary defenses, such as Dodge, Counter-attack, Block.


To cap dodge, pistolierre 2-0-0-0 and Mstr fencer.



Tk Meditation is not 'Helpful' as such, in pure combat, no its not very useful. When its useful is when you get incap'd and can FoW(Force of Will) and Powerboost (Prior to combat, its a *Highest base stat*/2 bonus to all bases. Ex- 500/500/1000 H/A/M You will get a 500 bonus coming up to 1000/1000/1500)


The 4th box (4-0-0-0) of Tk meditation lets you meditate off wounds, Very nice, VERY convenient, can just plop down a minute in the cantina and your clear to go.

I agree with the others mate... None of the best pvp'ers cant cure poison.... CMs will smack u in no time, and they do exist...

well, providing there will be a lot less CMs after the combat rebalance and all the nerfs, and you menage to avoid them, and that you will be fighting only non-CM opponents, you are still missing the most basic and most critical 2000 medic in there.


B Stims and First Aid are an absolute bare necessity.


you know, you cant exactly sit down and meditate a wound or DOT or poison away while someone is beating on you or shooting at you.


so while the meditate line is usefull for PvE, other then maybe geting up from an incap or powerboost it doesnt do much in PvP.
