Thread: A memorial to Raphayl...

Okay so we know that SOE cannot put in a memorial to her because of legal issues, there should be nothing that stops us from memorializing her ourselves as individuals.
Test Center is comeing up soon with the Combat Upgrade code, sometime in the next week I'd like to plan a gathering for her on Test Center. I'm planning on writing up dialogue for use in Event Perk NPC's which describe both her In Character Persona and a story which places her contributions into the setting, and seperate NPC's memorializing her OOC.
If anyone would like to assist me in the creation of this on Test Center when it comes up I'd be immensly thankfull.

Well it will likely have to wait till the Blue Frogs go up with crafting professions as we'll probably want to not be in our newbie brawler clothing, and it would be nice to set up a little memorial village around the event perks.

Considered Having a Politician Dropping a City?
Seeing how Politician no longer takes SP, I'd be more than happy to assist with that dept.
Maybe name it:
Memorial Domicile or of the sorts...

Pappi the Politician Correspondent is already preparing to set up a Test City in the new TC... so we'll be useing that as the base for the memorial. We'll definately have a Memorial Museum. If anyone has any ideas of what to put in the Museum please let me know here.

I could do a version of my Bloodfin Decoration of a PA hall for a FENCERS Test Guild ? It takes alot of items though and a long time to set up.. If it's worth the time and the effort I'd put into it I'd be more than happy for Raphayl's sake. I can invite over my fav Poli too, He does an excellent job at this sort of thing
Have you guys thought up a City design yet ?

Well whatever we can do as we can do it. We'll likely need a large variety of things which cannot be gotten when the server goes up first... like houses... but as we can do things we will... then once it's all ready i'll start writing the NPC scripts while we hype the event. Then it will just be a matter of getting the player event perks and placeing them and giveing them their schpeals.

If a permanent ingame memorial is to erected(if it is OK with the family members) why dont the devs just do this?
A fencer trainer with the name Raphayl, outside the coronet starport or in a very high traffic area. Make it so the trainers name never shifts. Make it in the likeness of her.
No legal issues at all, since SOE makes trainers all the time.

It won't be, it will be a memorial by players on Test Center durring the Combat Upgrade which her testing was intrisically responsible for bringing about. And players should memorialize her in whatever manner they choose to on their live servers.
I can only suspect that Raphayl's family didn't want SOE placeing a memorial in the game due to the possibility that it would be used as a marketing tool... but It's pretty clear that whatever the reasons... Raphayl's family doesn't want the company to memorialize her... but I suspect they wouldn't mind if players choose to.
What I'm going to be working on for the CU is just a model of what others can do on their home servers in a more permanent fassion.
