I'm also experimenting with fencer, with Doc and I would like everyones opinion on this temp,


Mfencer, TKA 0444, Doc 4014


I like the idea of having my own Buffs but I'm wondering if I am gaining anything by sacrificing TKM for the buff line in Doc. Also should I use the extra 5 sp I have (now in doc 4014) for tka meditate line, or is that line pretty much covered by Doc?

well for pvp id go:


Master Fencer


TKA 0-4-0-0


Swordsman 0-0-3-4


Doc 4-0-0-4



Master fencer cuz its master fencer lol, and fencer rocks (even though the pointless lunge nerf is infuriating).


tka 0-4-0-0 grants center of being, some defenseand advanced leg sweep.


swordsman 0-0-3-4 grants armor break, nice defense, nice accuracy, and improved critical hit.


doc 4-0-0-4 grants great healing and good self buffs, including the awesome action and speed buffs.



that is one awesome template. its got damage: (210 acc w/fencer weapon) + armor break + body hit + critical hit. its got defense: 185 melee/145 ranged + cob + some nice battle armor. its got buffs and healing: infusion + jab + shot + stims + adrenal boost + seratonin injection + endorphin injection.

I respeced to this today, with my "final" respec, And so far I am really likeing it, it is serving well in solo play and who doesn't want a healer tank in their group? I need to get my hands on a better fencer weapon as soon as I can get ROTW

Yes this is my favorite template so far as well. With proper foods, healing, armor, and attacks, you are very difficult to kill. You can also deal great damage.

Currently fencer/swords/doc 4xxx and doing quite ok... But with the template above you are not cl 80.. Does it have a big difference in pvp???

no difference at all in pvp, as their are no level modifiers. in pve its a fairly big difference though.

well I have tka 0300 Mfencer Sword 0034 Doc 4004, with 3 SP left and I'm cl of 79 I would think that once I get tka 0400 that my level would jump to 80 since you gain a level for every elite combat box you have (roughly) But techniclly you need a certain amount of EXP spent in combat boxes, I just saw the number somewhere...But with a prof calc you could see how much EXP is invested in combat vs medical to figure out what would give ya 80

yeah its not 80 but atm I'm cl 79 with one more tka box togo before I'm out of SP

well vupos, if you hit level 80 once you get that last box, ill eat my words.... and this is like officially THE best melee template hehe.



uhmm... modifying it for pve if this doesnt turn out to be level 80, well i dunno, every line in the template is critical....


i thought in order to get level 80 you had to either have double elite mastery, and that simply cant even be dont with the above template... even when you try to get master fencer and just 4-0-0-4 doc, youve already spent too many points and cant master another brawler elite.


all that comes to mind are some of the fairly standard templates, such as


mFencer, TKM, Doc 4-0-0-0


mFencer, mSwords, doc 4-0-0-0


stuff like that, very simple, no fluff. hopefully the first template i posted turns out to be level 80

I did some EXP calulations (since I can't play now) To see if it would hit cl 80, I think Mr. anon is right on this one. That lst tka box i can get won't put me over the amount of exp needed for 80.I think the only way to modify it for Cl 80 would be to drop the buff line from Doc and master a second proffesion. Though Cl 79 really isn't that big of a deal for PvE.


Here BTW is the info I used, taken from a thread in "Core Systems"


"Your CL is determind by the number of combat relateexperience point you have invested. If it takes 1000 riffle xp to get riffles 1 then you have 1000 points invested. It takes 12,038,650 xp points to be CL 80. some XPx are worth more than others BH investigation is worth 35x the normal experience point. combat 3x scouting(other than trapping) is 2x. everyother combat related experince point is converted 1x."
