Thread: New Fencer Weapon Dmg Type Ideas

Ok heres the problem. We fencers can only deal kinetic and stun damage and neither of the big batons have ap, even ap1. We wanna have fun in nightsister killing too. We wanna get around psgs and stun armor. We want more!
So i compiled this mini list of possible weapons with different dmg types and maybe we might get some in the combat upgrade or downgrade whichever is easier to type.
Oh and i didnt add the speed cause that really doesn't matter too much.
All dmg is before slice
Fire Sword - heat+AP1
min 100-150/ max 190-250
Can burn 60% of the time when attacking
Infected sword - acid (quest reward)
min 110-150/ max 200-290
Can poison opponent
Infected ancient sword - acid (quest schem)+AP1
min 110-150/ max 220-220
Can disease opponent
Ice Baton - cold
min 100-160/max 200-250
One of the few cold weapons in the game-rarely protected
Electrified tip sword - electricity+AP1
min 110-160/max 240-300
Most powerful max unsliced weapon ull see here
Vibro Baton - electricity
min 120-150/max 210-240
Can stun opponent
Sharpened Rapier - kinetic+AP1
min 120-160/max 220-240
Let this quick rapier be the grinding weapon not the gaffi
RazorDagger - kinetic+AP2
min 40-70/max 100-120
Makes opponent bleed, as much as health hit 2

we have the most defences of anyone in the game, we DONT need anything else.... im happy with being able to tank 3 elders while my friends beat the sh!t out of them.

In my opinion, that'd make fencer completely over powered. A fencer who knows what he is doing can still hold his own, as well as be an awesome tank.

fencer is fine how it is... with those weapons, fencer would be way too powerful; if you want to dodge attacks go fencer, if you want to do damage go swordsman

AP isn't too bad for me, but I am more looking toward new weapons. They don't have to be any better than our current ones, but I'm sick of carrying a stun baton and a gaffi and that's it. I want an expensive quest drop one like the scythe for swordsmen.

ok then i hear your replies...fencers are kinda down at the moment anyway...
The combat revamp is coming and I hear that mind is gonna be balanced and fencers get new weapons. That all sounds good to me and I believe we health hitters will once again be level with our freakishly fast "stabbing"
Why are we called fencers anyway?? How do you stab someone with a gaffi?

I'd rather not see alot of this stuff.
Only thing (maybe) would be a Vibro-Rapier with electicty damage, AP Light, and about as much damage as a stun baton.
Oh, and alot of those weapons are doing as good as a decent unsliced DXRb6 rifle, from my experinence, we dont normally do the most damage but last the longest.

I hope this was meant as sarcasm to the weapons in the original post.
There are some high damage weapons out there. I've seen a few 450+ dam stun batons about.
Isnt the rantok sword from one of the jabba quests one handed?

Fencer is all about defense not offense. We cant and shouldnt have the best of both worlds..
