Thread: Hologram recordings in camps heal BF?
There could be a recording booth set up inside a cantina. Charge a fee for the members to go in and make the hologram and pay for however many copies they want to distribute. The members would get xp when the holo was played (simulart to crafting xp when an object is used).
It's a win-win situation. The player-base gets a method of BF healing in the field. The ranger gets a use for his hard-earned camps. And the entertainers gain xp and money from the record sales.
And you get rid of Tavern and Cantinas on the advanced worlds since no one will need to head into the outposts anymore. Especially if we add cloning centers to the advanced ranger camps ... and bazaar terminals that will ship the items to any world. Lets implement bacta tanks for the rangers so they no longer need to waste spots in the group for doctors. Everyone wins.
The idea is not to make everyone self sufficient or go make it possible for people to never visit a city.
Actually since a Master Doctor has the Revive kit, cloning centers are not required in camps at all.
A doctor can simply bring a person back to life with or without a camp, as long as they don't clone first.
My career path is based on private shows and having fun "composing" with like-minded people first, healing folks a very distant second. Mind Wound and Fatigue only hinder my path to the Nalargon ![]()
But as to the original idea, I don't think it should cure Battle Fatigue, just Mind Wounds. You want to leave those to cantinas so that folks not gunning for Master Musician/Dancer can have a way of advancing their required Fatigue and Wound lines without having to pick up another skill like Medic or Markmans just to be able to travel with the hunters.
Cantinas are places to meet in cities designed to be used. The best way to meet people is to go to populated areas. The skillsets divided across all professions revolve around interaction, directly and indirectly, with said other people. But a good chunk of folks wouldn't bother going out of their way to meet people if they didn't have to.
It's an annoying time sink to some, which I agree with. But it also brings a crowd to focal points, which I also agree with ![]()
