Thread: Manning a Cantina
Hi folks, did you see the latest stealth "feature?"
Bring up your Cntrl-A display and you might find the "man map" command.
This little diddy is quite an interesting little command, and it's great for letting people know you're "in the house." This is especially good during low population times and on low entertainer/medic planets.
Here's how it works, if you're a doctor, medic, or entertainer (I'm pretty sure you get it as an entertainer as well) step into the apropriate building. Now click on your "manning" button and check the "world map." (Cntl-V)
There should be an * or other mark next to the cantina/medcenter name on the list. This is suposed to disapear after you leave the building.
Now I haven't been able to go home and test it to show you folks, but it's a good thing to know about.

That's pretty cool! I'll test it at lunch. Would save other players a lot of time searching between multiple cantina/hotel-type places in a town.
Hehe, well I heard nothing about it until I brought up the Cntl-A window to look for a different skill. Then I noticed it on the boards yester. (I worked overtime so I had a lot of time to kill.)
I just thought you guys would like to know. I've pulled up the Cntl-V map and if you click on the "med centers" tab all the med centers show up with little grey moons next to them. I didn't have time before work today to turn it on, but I'm pretty sure when you "man" a site those moons will change into something new. Screen shots soon!
As far as entertaining they only work in cantinas.
I tried the Concert Hall and the Hotel but it wouldn't let me use the skill there.
Too bad i wanted to play elsewhere and let people know that someone was in those places lol.
FYI, I did get it to work in the theatre in Coronet, so I'd say it functions for both cantinas and concert halls. Also couldn't get it to let me man the hotel, though. Hopefully that's a bug, as it'd be nice if more folks used them for entertaining & ent heals. Later guys,
