Thread: Just curious about tips.
I usually tip 200/cr per 10 points of battle fatigue. What would you consider a fair tip?

A fair tip is whatever you feel it is, and whatever you can afford.
If a newbie comes in with a black mind bar, and leaves tipping 10 credits, they are at least showing appreciation. If someone just got back from a very succesful set of missions and tips 5000 credits, they are again showing their appreciation, and I'll go out and get some new nice clothes. ![]()
Tip what you think is appropriate. But be honest. Someone who has 5 million credits and tips 1 credit "because it's appropriate" is not being honest and instead is being a cheapo.
I have seen a few things in the past:
- 1 to 3 cr/BF or mind wound healed
- 5 - 15% of mission take for the BF being healed (e.g. you take in 10K in missions and then get healed, you give 1,000 @ the 10% rate).
- Some fixed rate, e.g. 100 per entertainer per visit
So as you can see it is variable. Any of these is fine, or however you want to do it. Pay what you think is fair, based on what was done for you (RP, actual chatty entertainment, game-stuff like healing, etc) and on what you can afford.
I don't expect newbies to tip anything, frankly, at least until they have a few thousand credits in their account. My PC makes at least 1500 cr a night from dancing and probably 10K a night from crafting or missions ... she doesn't need money that badly.

(A master musician friend of mine did that.. Threw on his newbie garb, got out his slitherhorn, and started playing starwars1)
Well if he's playing he probably isn't going to tip me... And if he's a master musician I'd recognize the name ![]()
I'm curious about atip detail. When an ent is grouped with other ents, and you tip one of them, does the tip get distributed equally amongst all in the group?
Thanks
**edit**, no edits
I also meant to ask the same for xp, does it get divided evenly if they're all in a group even though the player may be watching or listening to only one person?
No, it doesn't. It all goes to the entertainer you tipped. You can ask that they share it, however, and many will be more than happy to do so. I know I would.

Tips aren't split amongst the group currently... it appears that the early process of a group tip command is in place however.
To the original poster: that is on the generous side of what many people tip. Thank you. ![]()
