Thread: A radical new idea:
What do you think? *activates a heat shield just in case*
I don't macro in the cantinas, but I do at my own house. There is just too much exp to be gained and not enough time for a casual player, like myself to gain it in.
I mean, if every other profession had as long a climb to Master as Dancer and Musician, it might even have prolonged the game for some people! We can't kill bunches of critters, we can't simply create a bunch of objects, all we can do is flourish every, what? 4 seconds, max?
I know I would have my Droid Engineer to master MUCH earlier than my Dancer if it weren't for the macros. I just have the decency not to macro in a public place. Kind of like a Player RP for his character. Nobody wants to see the dancers practice, they want to see them dance.
I think people are going the wrong way with this, is all. There should be something else to cover this.
i dont like afk marcoers, ESPICALLY the ones that have words in it, like one person had in it something about tips, welcome, and "willy wonka is my hero" i heard all of these at LEAST 30 times, an got VERY annoyed.
DOWN WITH THE AFK MARCOERS
I'd thought about this solution.. It would need something besides the AFK tag to work however.. Maybe a second internal only AFK flag from the client that can't be disabled. It would still be defeated by third party macro programs, but so would almost everything else. This would at least keep honest people honest.
To the people who say there is so much xp to be gained.. Just have fun with what you're given! I enjoyed doing my dances through my entire profession, so it was never a grind for me. If you don't enjoy it now, why will you enjoy it later? If you really don't like it that much, don't do it.
I am a casual player, I have not been AFK more than a half hour total (While I was still working on entertainer skills mostly) and I am a master dancer. It can be done, but you won't have anyone handing you the title overnight like people seem to want. The title should be a reward for effort, not a reward for having a stable internet connection.
