ok, I see how AFK macros could get you a little peeved, but c'mon, it's just people trying to grind out a little xp. should these guys expect tips? H.E.L.L. no. I agree that money comes from effort, but don't yell at the guys who are too busy or too bored to stay in a cantina all day. Please don't flame ANYONE on this thread, but feel free to post your thoughts.

If someone wants to macro his way through a profession, more power to him. I'm not going to tip him, and he should expect tips, like you said.

I save my tips for entertainers who actually entertain me. If a dancer of musician chats with me a bit while I'm watching, that's great, and I'll tip for it. But the career entertainers are few and far between. Often the only career entertainers you can find are those who take dancer and musician to buff their guild for PvP. Sad but true.

But if I'm in Theed, and an entertainer starts to RP with me, I'll tip them, even if I've already been healed.

Whatever someone wants to do in this game, if he does it in private, it's no problem. If he does it in public, it effects other players and they won't be happy about being affected negativly.

Lets say I got hold of 10 Million Radioactive Power. If I want get rid of it anddelete it, fine. No one has a problem with that. If I give it away for free in front of a Power-Selling shop, the shop owner might be a bit pissed.

Lets say I want to shoot a Chuba. If I do it alone, no problem. If I shoot someone else mission, this person will be pissed.

If I like to hear me talk and spam a random string of words in my house, that's fine. No one has a problem with that. When I put that toon in front of a starport, a lot of people will be pissed.

Ifyou like to dance unattended, fine. Do it in private and noone will complain. But doing it in public, harming other players by degrading their profession, spamming, providing their services for free is bad. Thats why those entertainers that remember what it was before are a bit pissed.

at a certain point, afkers don't add atmosphere to the cantina. We want it to be pleasant so people will enjoy coming and enjoy paying us. (like that ice cream shop I worked at, boss lady told me on the first day, "we don't sell ice cream, we sell enjoyment." people are not paying for icecream, they are paying for your smiling face and the ambiance of the store. they can get 5 gallons of ice cream for 50 cents at the jumbo mart and they pay way more than that to come to my store and shoot small talk with me. BTW I got lots of tips at the ice cream store too, and our store policy was to return the tips and tell people that we can't accept them. That's usually when they forced me to take money from them when the manager's back was turned.)

AFK drone is like baskin robins highschool teen ager that doesn't want to be at work. I hate 31 flavors cause of the employees, not the product.

The issue was never about money, it was about the location. Anyone who was an entertainer at launch knows what we lost by about august.
