Y'know, I AFK macro. But for goddess' sake, I'm quiet and I do it in the corner and don't have a cow if I'm kicked from a group. Or at least, I did when I was looking for xp.

People suck. It's the exceptions who prove the rule that keep me around...most of whom I met through my Musician work. But it's a lot of sifting through the chaff to find the good ones.

I like the ones who say "Can I get an invite? (Macro)" as if telling us it is a spamming macro makes it any less wrong. Perhaps they think the <AFK> sign next to there name doesn't make it obvious enough.

Hey... just between us.... I'd like to meet the person who runs a successful cantina in a player city that NEVER afks... It'sa tool, that's all. It can be overused and abused - but AFK is not of the devil (or Dark side.. whatever).

Let me define successful - full every night - ppl come from other planets just to see you. Master entertainers from other cantinas write songs about you... recieive 5 star reviews.... Ok I'm laying it on THICK, but it seems like those who cry about AFK are also the ones saying they can't make it in player cities because they are empty all the time. Think out of your narrow little box, and start enjoying the game.

Entertainment is as much a service profession as it is social. You need to provide both using ALL the tools at your disposal.
