Patch notes:
Fixed performance buffs to add buff amount to current value instead of just maximum value.
Do you know what this means? It mean you will be able to get buffs into the 3000 and up range. Imagine a TKM that powerboosts, takes 2 +400 brandys, and a muon gold. That's almost a 2000 mind gain right there, and with their current mind pools it can be incredible.
I realized that if someone wants to combat, all they really need to do for a great buff is get their mind pool up to as high as they can get it. Let us say 1100. That gives them 1100+500(powerboost)+500(muon)+800(brandy).
Of course, the mind pool at that point would be considerably larger than action and health depending on enhancement quality. This may mean PvP goes out of whack, or it could mean lots more money for entertainers.

This was actually hotfixed a while back. I'm not sure if there were more bugs with it so they fixed it some more, or if they just put the hotfix's notes into publish 8s notes O.o
All this is, is there was an issue with Dancer Buffs where if you buffed someone, they would get the buff, but have to wait for their mind to heal back up instead of their mind increasing with the buff.
For example, if someone had 1000 mind and got a master dancer buff, their max mind would then become 2000, but their mind would still be at 1000 and have to heal its way back up. This bug now no longer occurs.

but this isn't the dancer buff fix... the other poster is right.. it was for musicians it said and buffs the current value vs max value ... it CAN have negative affects too if they start the buff before the mind is healed...

So does this mean if their unbuffed mind is at 2000, I can get it to 4000 as long as they have full mind, or does it mean something different?

You know, when I first read the patch notes, I read it as they were reversing something they changed awhile ago. It seemed odd. But now that you mention it, just being the hotfix slipping into the patch notes makes sense. In fact, I think the wording is the same as it was for the hotfix, including the fact that it mentioned musician.
I'll ask.
