Thread: Gambling Needs a Graphical Interface! and should involve Entertainers too...

I am a firm believer that money needs to come out of the system and that taking money out of the system can be fun!
With that said I think if gambling had a graphical interface and was expanded to allow more games and types of betting that a lot more people would use the system.
I guarantee that if gambling currently had a graphical interface that made it fun I would dump a few million credits into it monthly!
The perfect place to release this would be in the Jaba palace with the entertainer revamp…heck, this could be part of the entertainer revamp…let entertainers buy gambling devices from Jaba and place them in houses/player cantinas…and let the entertainer take a portion of the money AND of course Jaba would need a cut too (fun way to take money out of the system).
This may have been brought up before…but I don't recall reading it…
What do you think?

Unfortunately most people go to dancer or entertainer forums. Then just end up cross-posting anything interesting instead of posting it in a common place.
There are a lot of people who would love to see gambling. Something like Sabacc or one of the games featured in other SW universe games.
Most likely we would either see something kind of clunky (Think the fishing interface, or the current gambling interface) or it would take a lot of time to develop something nice. Probably something more suited to being part of an expansion.
Anyway, rest assured that you are not alone.

If they made it something that only worked in Player City cantinas - that would help a lot. You're ideas to split the profits are very good..
PLUS it might be nice if they did a little BF benefit. Think about it. If *I* buy and place the gambling device - and players use it to lose BF... I might get money more often!

Spent some time playing the Jubilee wheels at the Lucky Despot the other night. As clunky as it is, it's still fun. A true GUI would be fabulous, but not likely due to the intensive nature of such development.

but it really would not be that much devel work...even a graphical interface that rivals an atari 2600 would be better and would be half a days work at best
