There are just no words for how distasteful and tacky this is. It shows all that is wrong with the AFK buffbots ruining the experience, in my opinion.

I feel sorry for the other people in the cantina who have to listen to that long-winded spam every 8 minutes. The begging for tips is a nice touch.

I had a fellow set one up in my cantina and I gave it some time to get reactions form folks. Basically what was happening - ppl added him to thier ignore list - OR liked the buff service. I don't mind afking throughout the day but spamming is another matter.
My solution was the set up a NEW cantina across the river as an Officers Club - where he could run is buff bot. This made everyone happy.

What? To me that sounded like the disney world messages in those cable-cars... "Do not stick any bodypart outside the window while the car is moving" "Mwella gasile funiacho car". But, there's a way to fix the problem (if she doesn't have a /disband macro). Just invite her to a group, invite a different buffbot to the group, make one of them leader, leave the group withboth of them in it,and now you've fixed it so 2 buffbots are incapacitated (RL meaning, not the SWG combatmeaning).

Ooooh! That's a good idea, and only fair. If you can't be at the screen to know what's going on, then you can't complain if stuff like this happens.

Actually, from the point of view of a potential customer, the service sounds ideal, although five minutes is a bit long and I understand that there are ways to make it faster. Nice touch on letting the unitiated in on how to use the buffs too.
However, that is an exceptionally tacky bunch of spam.
I don't see why there isn't a spam chat channel for people to use, which would serve all parties concerned and cut way down on the conflict.

Yeah, the spam is a bit much, but frankly I'd rather find a buff bot in a cantina than a holotainer that you can't get buffs off of and no entertainers.
I would suggest the user make everything but the first line about inviting them into a /groupchat line, and then everything should be fine, I think.
The problem for non-entertainers is that there seems to be so few entertainers around who are actually around. Mostly, it's just macrotainers. But I'm not recommending getting rid of them, because I think there would be almost no entertainers at all, especially in player cities... and that would suck even worse.
