Hiya everybody! /wave

This is the first time I’ve ever posted on the entertainer forum, it’s nice in here isn’t it

N E way, the reason I’m here is to ask about the new entertainer droids. I think they’re the most ‘complete’ aspect of the new publish and I can’t wait to get stuck in and produce lots of lurvely toys for all the b0yz ‘n g1rlz on my server

The question is, with 7 modules available, one of which stacks nicely, and only a maximum of 6 slots for them, what exactly is the configuration that suits you guys best?

Here are the 2 I have planned:

‘AR3Lg - Superstar Gold’ (Adv R3) 80k

-2 x Playback module
-Mind Bloom effects
-Electric Fog effects
-Foam effects
-Jawa effects

‘AR3Le - Superstar Emerald’ (Adv R3) 80k

-2 x Playback module
-Mind Bloom effects
-Electric Fog effects
-Confetti effects

-Avian effects

Can you let me know what you think, don’t worry about a complete redesign, I can be very accommodating /blush

Kisses

Cass

I'm not on your server, so I can't buy one from you.

But could you explain what the features do for those who are shopping?

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

Phew, you don’t want much do you flower Well never let it be said Cass asks for help but won’t give it, here you go :

Effects Modules:
Items of note:
Avian (Novice DE): white birds fly away from the droid
Foam (Novice DE): sort of like a cloud effect around the ground spreading about 4-5m
Electric Fog (1/0/0/0): a slow burst of sparkles surrounds the droid
Confetti (2/0/0/0): wads of confetti are thrown into the air and sprinkle everywhere
Mind bloom (3/0/0/0): a really nice looking slow moving plasma effect in the air around the droid
Dancing Jawa (4/0/0/0): Laser show with images of a dancing jawa floating in the air

Description of functionality:

· Call your droid, which has one (or more) of the 6 Effects modules installed, and left-click-and-hold (or use your "~" (tilde) key) on it to bring up the radial menu.
· On the droid radial menu, there is an "Effects On/Off Toggle". Under this is a submenu "Configure".
· When you use "Configure", you'll see 10 empty 'slots'. Select a slot and you will then select an effect (from those available in the droid) for that slot.
· You will then be able to set a delay time for how long to delay before that effect goes off. The current window of time is from 3 to 60 seconds.
· The effect should last for about 15 secs (Avian effect the exception). Short delay times will allow the effects to overlap a bit.

Playback module:
Items of note:
· Usable by Novice Musician or higher.
· This allows a musician to record a particular instruments default playback music. It requires a component (Dual Wave Synthesizer) that is craftable by a Musician.
· These modules can be stacked to allow for more then 1 instrument recording at a time (1 per module however).
· While the module does not record flourishes, it DOES accept bandflourishes....Two musicians with one droid each can now make a full band of 4 instruments if they want.
· "/bandflourish" commands are not recorded. But if you group with him and do a /bandflourish, he'll do it like any member of the band.
· The recording of each track lasts for 30 seconds.
· Any recorded track should be saved if you Store the droid, so that it is already there the next time you call.

Description of functionality:
The musician sets up the droid to start listening while the musician grabs an instrument to play. After playing for a short while - it will have recorded the new data (flourishes do not get recorded). Then, the musician is free to grab a second instrument and play along with the droid's playback for a better single person experience - or smaller groups having a wider range of instruments playing at once.
1. The Musician calls the droid which has the installed Playback module and uses left-click-and-hold (or use your "~" (tilde) key) on it to bring up the radial menu. You'll see the "Access Playback Module" menu.
2. After accessing this menu option, you get a window where the following options are available:
o A list of tracks the droid contains
o The buttons "Cancel", "Delete" and "Record/Play"
3. "Delete" deletes any selected tracks you choose (if they exist).
4. "Record/play" will start to play a recorded track if it exists. If no track exists, and the musician is not playing, the droid module will start recording once the musician starts playing. The recording of each track lasts for 30 seconds.

I hope that helps everyone out, I know all of these new toys can be a bit daunting (& expensive, sorry) but rejoice for they are most pretty

Mch luv

Cass

Yes, thank you very much. If I were playing on Chimaera, I would definitely buy from you.

Dancing Jawa, eh? I'll have to check that out before I vanish.

I don't know about the effects, but I had a friend make me up a lil MSE with a playback module, I love it, but I need a droid with more ham.

What musicians will want more than effect droids

Stack as many auto healing modules, and one playback module in there, as you can..

Then the musician can record like, the bandfill part, and then play a horn, and have his own solo, and use bandflourishes to make the droid flo with him. Droid needs to have a high action pool for this to be effective, and the auto heal modules make the droid heal up as he plays.

I wish we could have more than one droid out at a time. These things are a blast.

As for healing, my droid itself doesn't seem to use Action while performing. Only I do. If I can sustain myself with food, buffs, and rest, not to mention Stamina, do I need to bother with a heal module? I want that precious module space given over to songs and effects.

Also, has anyone tried /bandflo bandfill and then dancing?
