Hi All,

After the TC weekend off I found my toon had been reset and did the missions from scratch. I've got up to popularity rank 2 before the current downtime.

As has been noted on the musician forum the audience are now appearing. This is the first truly new bit to the quests. The audience are there for interaction!

They each have one line of speech (talk to them again and they repeat it). Some will tell you they like a specific song or flourish, others tell you they dislike a specific flourish. Some have random quotes (i.e. "I can't believe my landspeeder broke down").

As to the testing of the peformances it seems that flourishes do impact the audience rating, but the specials (spotlight / dazzle etc.) do NOT. If anyone else can confirm this that'd be useful.

I'll do more testing tomorrow.

They are getting better people, soon they'll even be good!

Oh, forgot to add. We are now sure that you need to specifically listen or watch the individual performer to trigger the popularity rank indicator. Listening to the band or watching them will NOT trigger the rank for each person doing the quests.

This needs to be changed or it's going to be chaos when it hits live so that listening or watching anyone in a band triggers for everyone.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.
