please read the last post for the new info

from http://swvault.ign.com/ Question: Will there ever be anything more for non-combat types to do? Of the 20+ dungeons and theme parts, there is almost nothing that non-combat types can do. Kirk black took the reigns on this question. First of all, there is a lot of new Entertainer quests that are on Test Center currently which are very exciting. Also, there is the Hutt Casino which is planned for implementation "eventually" that will be non-combat focused. Lastly, Kirk said that his visualization of the GCW was not just combat-related but also how non-combat types play their roles in the struggle. It is his intention to make certain that each profession, particularly the non-combat ones, have a role in the GCW.

so where exactly are these new very exciting Entertainer quests?....... are you referring to the broken Theater Manager thing?

and in the future.... it might be a good idea to tell us stuff like this before telling some reporter...

OLD

ok I just logged onto TC2 with a 0000 entertainer and went to meet this person... I talked to him and got all the way to him asking me if I was ready to audition... I answered yes then he asked if I was a Dancer or a Musician... I said Musician... then nothing.... no error, no waypoint, no anything........ maybe one needs to be a novice Musician / Dancer for it to work?

if so, the NPC should say something like "come back when you have more experience"

Is this even supposed to be on TC yet?

related I talked to two nobles within 5 meters of this guy that asked me if I would do a job for them.... I said yes and one gave me a musician gig and the other a dancer gig.... but the gigs were no different than our mission terminal gigs.......... 100 credits to travel 6Km and play in some cantina........... IT COSTS MORE THAN THAT TO SIMPLY TRAVEL THERE......... we did not want our mission terminals copied over to NPCs...... we need new missions and quests all together

TH annocuned an entertainer's themepark awhile ago, it was based on you "Dancer or musician" will contact a theater manager and you will audition for him for something, I concluded that since this is coming after publish nine, this will take us to the Hutt Casino/Cantina, I recall the Devs saying something about an Hutt spacestation in one of the first space sectors. I'm wondering that maybe if you suceed at your audition, 1*the theater manager sends you to the Hutt base "themepark" to some kind of contest* agaisnt Dancers or Musicians (If your a Musician)

Maybe some missions you may have todance with an Ai to show your partner dancing skills or simply beat them for a prize(Mind enchancement clothing, 2*new dances, new outfits*

Myself I'm look forward to this Hutt casino, but in 1* I said the Theater manager sends you, I don't know this exactly, you may have to fly yourself there but I imagine it will be like the Corvette themepark.

note, words lighted in green will be talked in these sentences.

1.)*the theater manager sends you to the Hutt base "themepark" to some kind of contest* we have not given much information about the themepark, so it's my opinion, and may or may not be what the Devs are planning.

2.)When their was a post about this ina interveiw(long time ago ) they *Dev team and TH* possibly said the rewards could include new dances, clothing schematics, and instruments, and other prizes.

So it seems that they did in fact forget ( or neglect ) to tell us that this is on TC/TC2 and ready to test.

Either way..... progress.

Okay a few facts (although I didn't get very far)

1) Novice entertainer is not enough. Not sure if you need novice dancer/novice musician or whatnot, I have a tc2 char that's master dancer that i created just to test this.
2) You only get to audition once every 24 hours.
3) Do not leave the stage (even if it says you aren't on the stage atm) this causes the audition to fail.

Maybe a bit more info in 24 hours then

Always the danger when the same thread is posted on multiple forums... they don't all get the same replies.

You can check the sister thread in the dancer forums here

(sorry, I'm still clicky-retarded)

We've had a bit more testing and discussion of the entertainer quests going on in there.

I just finished Mission IV (Advertise to 20 people).

I got system message for each person but the very last person.

It seems the system message for having entertained the 20th person is still going to that person instead of oneself.

I still completed it though and am about to try number V for the first time. o.O

I just succeeded at Mission FIVE!!

An NPC audience spawned (larger than the one that spawns for mission III).

I got system messages saying 120 seconds... 60 seconds... etc. (this one only gives you 120 seconds to speak with the audience)

The NPC audience give you hints as to what to do! I am doing the music version and some of them request dances.... /bugged

I did not start playing until the system message told me to and I still succeeded... I got over 250 rating...

You can use /conv on the NPCs to talk to them from the stage

I got 1500 reward.....

I fell asleep while running a macro last night in Theed asking for 30 people to listen to me. .....

Success!! (for Mission SIX)

I even got the system message for the 30th person who listened to me, and I got the system message saying that I had achieved Pop Rank 3

Note: When the TM first gave me this mission, she mentioned that after this there would not be anymore 'advertising' missions...

phew

going to try Mission SEVEN now... the TM says this will be my last performance............. ?

I failed mission SIX SEVEN....

The NPC audience will tell you which flourish they want to see and which song/dance they want to hear/see, but it appears to be a bit bugged because I am doing the music version and some of the NPCs are requesting dances.... none of them are requesting songs.... plus some of them don't spawn until after the timer to start is up....

p.s. I did not start playing music until the 60 second timer was up... (only 60 seconds this time)....... I achieved Audience Satisfaction of 396.

Succeeded Mission Seven with a audience ranking of 512 on Music on TC1.

Had no problems with audience asking for dances. Most were junk though (very funny comments about tipping doctors and afk dancers but no help!). Got told three songs only. Swapped between the three and did non-stop flourishes (had a small buff to help).

Now for the bad news. The rewards haven't been coded in yet. This is the final message as of tonight: "[TESTING] A winnar is yuo!" "Reward test and items to be implemented soon."

So we still don't know what we are going to get.
