Thread: Questions From someone new about the Entertainer profession

Hello, first let me say Im sorry if this has been asked before, but I cant seem to find the information.
Im pretty new to this game and I want to be a Master Entertainer and Image Designer, but Im having a hard time finding out some information. I know that by watching me (right now Im working on my dancing) people can get their mind wounds and battle fatigue healed. But Im having some questions about buffing, Ive had a couple people ask me about that, but I dont have a button for it or anything like that. Do I have to have Master to do that? Also, is there a button for it, or anything like that? My boyfriend has a doctor char and I know that he has somekind of pack that he uses to buff people, but Im not sure what Im supposed to do. Someone told me that people just watch you but that hasnt done anything but heal so far, my boyfriend and I experimented on that one. Also, do I need to be a musician and Dancer? Or can I choose just one? Thank you very much for reading and all your help and information is greatly appreciated.

Hello! Welcome to the wonderful world of entertaining. I know you were looking for specific answers to your questions, but to be honest with you , there are several ways to buff and if I were to tell you one way, there would be a dozen replies telling me I dont know what Im talking about and thier way is better. So, I will just tell you that if you go through the Dancer and Musicianforums, you will find all your answers.I would suggest going thru the older posts because many of the new posts are just players complaining about the current state of the game. You will find a wealth of information there..everything from how to start one and many macros that will aid in the process of applying a buff. You will also be able to find out that there are certain clothes you can wear and food to eat to aid you in buffing.There are many "official guides" that players have spent time putting together that are much better at explaining things. Now as far as professions, you dont have to be both in order to give buffs. I am Master Dancer, Master Entertainer and Master Image Designer. I can give one heck of a mind buff through dance, a very nice secondaries buff through music and then make you look styling when you go out on the hunt !! I hope this helps ..even if its a little..

In order to buff people, you need to be at least a Novice Dancer or Musician. The higher your skill level, the better of course. Here are two threads that probably have a lot of the information you are looking for:

Not sure if you're confused by it or not.. But when I started playing, the way I read the skills, master dancer/musician was needed for master entertainer. Basically, it looked to me like you work up the various lines in entertainer, then they continue into professions, then once you master those professions, you can be master entertainer. Now, of course, I know better. You don't need to be even novice musician, dancer or image designer to be master entertainer.
However, as others have said you cannot give mind buffs unless you are a dancer or musician.
