Hello,

i recently posted a similar message in the Doc forum, i dont have much time, not nearly as much time as id like to read through all the helpfull and VERY informative posts that peeps put on top of the board (which, by the way, are very well laid out and very well thought out and organized and i really appreciate ) but lately i havent had much time to play, about the last few months, and i dont have much time to keep up with whats going on, or keep up with all the good posts. but i was hoping that someone could please help me with a question.

My first time logging on in about 2 months and i couldnt get a doc buff (just found out about what they did to doc buffs ), so i was wondering if the same thing has happened to Entertainer buffs?

Once again, i really appreciate any help or advice you have. i Love this game and cant wait to get back into it.

Long live Galaxies......

There is no mind pool as we once knew it, and almost everything mechanical that performers once did is gone. Even fatigue healing is hosed because the incidence rate of accruing fatigue is so reduced combat monkeys can fight for weeks without getting any significant amount unless they clone at a non-designated cloner, or eject from their ship in space.

The only buff we do can be applied by a Novice Entertainer, and the only benefit to getting it from a Master of either dance or music is that it lasts longer and applies a little faster. Dance and music do the exact same thing. It's applied just by the patron listening or watching, no grouping or directing of performance needed, and it happens so fast you can't really deny service to someone unless you're on a hair trigger for denying everyone that comes in as soon as they do.

Hope that answers your question(s). If you need, I'm on Starsider.Tarot tonight, have some RP to do. It's the only thing left anymore.

A slight clarification: getting the buff from a master does not make it last longer, just apply faster. The maximum buff duration, whether from novice or master, is 3 hours (or slightly more in certain situations due to a bug).

Bother. I thought that was going to be the defining factor in getting inspiration from a master performer versus a novice entertainer. Gods. There's no reason to be anything other than a Novice Entertainer, then. Mechanically speaking.

You can still get doc buffs but they work differently and you'll find you won't need to stand online in order to get them. I find the Nurtrient Injection and the Adrenal boost the most helpful for my needs but that will vary by profession.

Entertainer buffs have also changed. Currently entertainers provide an "Inspiration Buff". This will give you a bonus to XP, FP, and Crafting success. (I believe other things have also been affected but don't have a set listing of what's enhanced yet). As stated you simply need to watch or listen to any entertainer and you'll get a system message telling you the progress of the buff application so that you know when you have the full duration (180 minutes). Also the buff doesn't go away when you logout. Note: the xp increase also applies to piloting xp.
