Thread: Most Useful Entertainer Droid Configuration?
As you know, only novice dancers or musicians may use such a droid.
I have found that a musician benefits the most from an R4 droid with 6 recording tracks.
Dancers naturally get the showy glowies.
Hmm. I love my effects droid I have for my Master Dancer. His name is Twinkle. (Most customers tell me the Dancing Jawas are their favorite effect.) I just don't have the SP left to go Novice Musician so I can use a playback droid too. But on my Gorath char, who will be straight entertainer, I guess I will go with both types. Full effects and full playback. I think I would regret not having both. I'd just end up buying another. ![]()
I like the idea of having my alt "loan" me a droid so I can use both at once. Nice tip! Andmy guild leader is an MDE so I won't need to shop around. He told me to let him know what I wanted. I think I will horrify him and tell him I want a hot pink one. Thanks for the advice y'all!
I have got a few myself, all advanced r3s
1. With item storage (yay for storing my instruments when i don't need them), crafter station (to make wave synth schematics for DEs) and3 (or 4)tracks
2. All effects
3. 6 tracks
4. OneMan band: 3 effects/3 tracks
5. 1 track and 5 effects (dancer use mostly)
When going with a group (which is not, with a maximum of 8 ppl is rather unsatisfying), I check around what is needed. I find myself the overall OneMan band helps out: recording track for the missing instrument (especially when in a group with low level musicians this greatly boosts the music when adding bandfill/mando/nalarg). Turn on the effects and I either start dancing or making music.
When I'm dancing alone, I often choose no 5 to have some supportive music to dance on. Also when practicing combination of sound flourishes and dance flourishes.
No 2 and 3 are most usefull in larger groups (especially #2 who doesn't need to be grouped).
So droids can be very usefull to any dancer/musician.
If the droid is in your band, it starts to play as well if someone uses /startband or /changeband to a song the droid has recorded.
I'm not sure if this could be considered an exploit though.

If you find a Musician to program your droid for you, you might be able to use it even without Musician.

I do not think it is an exploit, it is more anice feature.
