Thread: FANFEST... I went to bat for us, here is what may be coming

Greetings citizens,
Even though I was not selected as your correspondant (shakes fist and vows revenge), I went to fanfest and was VERY active in our entertainer Q&A.
AFK people problem.
The devs think the solution is not to kill macros, but to make the profession so fun that we WANT to be ATK. Thumbs up from the crowd.
Musicians have a band leader, why not dancers?
The devs write this down, coming very soon, for the dancers, I guess bandflo for dancing. Thumbs up.
The ability to walk around and still be dancing or playing music.
Already being worked on. Thumbs up.
Image designers can't see well when IDing on Lok ect... They appear to be swimming in the window.
Bug that will be fixed.
An elite quest that lets us perform for Jabba. The reward is his sail barge that we can take and only entertainers can use. We can use this as a land party boat much like the sorosub. Failure is the rancor pit. (My personal suggestion that they wrote down and I received many applause for. I hope this is put in, the devs loved it).
The entertainer community is the next phase for the devs. We need some love, and they know it. Look for exciting changes soon.

I want to address the "entertainer are next". Many profession are. There are not going to be any specific publishes dedicated to only one profession. There will be new things for various professions at every publish. So, not only is there stuff coming for us (I know of something in two weeks but not telling. *grin*) but for smuggler, ranger, squad leader and others.
It is sensible that they do it this way, then they do not have large segments of the population feeling left out.

Thanks much for the tidbits. I look forward to seeing what develops from all the conversations that went on during fanfest. I'm just hoping thata Jabba's Quest isn't quite as "finicky" as the Theater Managers Quest or I suspect I'll be spending a lot of time falling into the Rancor Pit

I told them what it was like to do that quest (the new one) which was designed for the beginners. They're planning on doing similar ones at various levels.
Also, they agree that it's not much of a quest if you just dance for ____ xp.
