i have entertainer 0/0/4/4 right now. How do i give myself the insperation buff? And can i heal my own BF? It seems the only time this works is if i am in a group.

You should be able to heal your own BF by dancing in any player-owned structure such as a house, or any cantina. It doesn't work in camps or outdoors. If you dance for a substantial period of time (several minutes) in a valid place like a cantina, and you don't see your BF dropping, fill out a CSR ticket.
Similarly, you should be able to inspire yourself, but in terms of dancing it's of no use. After you dance you will get the inspiration buff to do other things, but as soon as you start dancing you start "reapplying" it to yourself, so you can't get bonus XP while you are dancing.
