Thread: Do musicians buy Corellian Ale?

I really feel like brewing lots of Corellian Ale (wound healing (music)), but will like to make a profit as well. Do musicians buy stuff like this at all?

Thanks from a chef who'd like to use the whole skill tree

Well, I am a dancer, not a musician, but I think musicians would answer the same way...

That is, they probably would not buy the ale. Wound healing goes very quickly as it is; ale is not really necessary. Alsomusicians and dancers rely on tips for money and thus have almost no money in most cases (unless they have a secondary profession). This means they cannot afford to spend a lot of money on things such as Corellian Ale. I certainly do not have that kind of money, at least.

But perhaps that is my take on the issue.. Is there anyone who would purchase the ale here?

Im a mastermusician (made it today woo!)

And I would buy correllian ale if two things were different.

1: I had money to buy it.

2: I had money coming at a greater rate for buying it.

Unfortunately entertainer get neither so it would need to be simply out of the goodness of your heart to increase your wound healing. There really isn't a great benefit to musicians in healing more wound and fatigue unless they are helping out their guild in PvP or what not.

Is see the problem and understand your situation. Maybe I'll make some anyway and tip entertainers with it.

Thanks for replying

I tend to drink a lot of Accaragamn (wookie brew) as it enhances action and the secondary stats so I can spam those flourishes :-)

luckily our guild chef keeps supplying me with it for free at the moment .....

Doesn't buffing your healing ability mean you get more healing experience?

I don't believe it does. You arehealing people faster, but you are healing the same number of wounds. And there isn't a lineup of people waiting to be healed, sohealing faster shouldn'taffect your experience at all.

that's a great idea. It's been a long while since I've gotten a creative tip like that. People used to give all sorts of things to entertainers...droids, stim packs, spices, clothing/armor, cool-looking weapons, bird cages...all stuff that was relatively cheap to make, but nice for an entertainer to have. Of course, to receive the stuff people had to be at the keyboard, so I guess a lot of people forgot that it is possible to give entertainers non-monetary gifts.

I wonder if this stacks with BE entertainer clothing like Bivoli does with BE medic clothing. Any 'serious' entertainer will have clothing that is +25 to wound healing already. And as others have said, wound healing goes very fast already. A very good friend of mine is a Twi'lek master dancer (so base wound healing of 115 due to species bonus) wearing +25 BE entertainer clothing. I don't know what the exact formula is for how many wounds she heals per tick, but i come in often with around 45-50 mind wounds and they are usually gone in one, at most two ticks. It's battle fatigue that goes much more slowly. For that, at a BF healing of 120 (115 base plus +5 from the exotic dancer's leotard), it seems to take around 3 minutes to heal 500BF. That's just 'gut feeling', I've not done any actual testing of it.

So, if there's something to increase the battle fatigue healing power, there might be a market there, since the only way to get BF healing bonuses otherwise is through (rare) skill tapes. And again, assuming they had +25 worth of skill tapes, if it allowed to stack on top of that, it might be useful.

Now, he's the thing -- your market would likely be the people who made a second account to be their own personal entertainer healing/buffing bot, not your average 'real' entertainer. For a real entertainer, the tips vs. benefit to customer just isn't there. To someone coming in to their own bot running in their town/closest-outpost-to-where-they-are-hunting, and who makes plenty of cash via their main character, foods like this might be beneficial to them since it lets them get back out into the action again faster.

It is a great idea. I used to get lots of creative tips like that too when I was dancing in moneia a few months back. Clothes were always a popular tip

Yes it would be nice to have food to help increase the entertainers healing speed. For many it would be nice to have clothes with enhancements but not all entertainers are profiting while performing which can be for many reasons. Either way for items like food and enhancement clothes I find many entertainers rely on gifts from friends and fans. It is just the nature of the profession today. I make out okay each night but that also has to do with the fact that I can buff both Musician and Dancer. Some entertainers don't use as much skill points and to be honest probably make far more than me by having say Master Dancer/TKM

I might like to have some on hand for when my PvPing friends come in totally black-barred from Combat Medic mind diseases. It wouldn't be something I'd use often, since as I understand it +10 is the best you can get, if you had perfect resources? And I already need to drink Accarragm to buff in 3:10 if I don't have doctor buffs. Sorta annoys me that the dancer's wound healing item is food, and the musician's ends up being a drink, when the optimal ingestible item for a performer is also a drink, as is the 'buff enhancing' drink T'ssolok.

I'd have to say that even amongst people who would be interested in buying it, the market would be small and slow-moving.
