Entertainer Archive

This is just a FYI to save everyone some cash. As I was mastering the entertainer profs, I was paying for doc buffs like everyone else. I'd only get one though, either quickness or stamina. (If you want to save $$$ go for two low level buffs (quickness and stamina) as most docs just want to get rid of them. The only bad part is they don't last long.) So I'd be double flourishing along, doing all my visuals, 3hrs later I'd have to find a doc again and spend another 1K-2K, and sometimes they are not that easy to find. I went to the bazaar to see what food/drink could help me out. I found the entertainer's dream whether or not you want to be AFK this stuff is great and if you do want to be AFK this is essential. When I used it I didn't modify my entertainer macro at all.

It is a drink called Accarragm. The chef who made it did a pretty good job, 21 vials, +437 (action,quickness,stamina), for 42.5 min. I wrote a macro (FoodAssist) something like:

/stopdance;
/stopmusic;
/pause 15;
/ui action toolbarSlotnn
/pause 2600;
/macro FoodAssist;

Coupled with my entertainer macro, which has a /startdance, I can dance or play an instrument for 14hrs and be AFK. The last pause length should be longer than 60*42.5. I think 2600 is what I used. The drink only cost me 5K. 5K for 14 hrs you don't have to sit at your computer. I've seen it a little higher but as long is it cheaper then doc buffs I think it is worth it. It might be worth it just so you don't have to maintain your buff every three hours.

Not to nit-pick, but there should be a " ; " after the " /ui action toolbarSlotnn " Part of your macro.

Other then that, I think it'd work. I'm not saying "AFK dancing/whatever" is right or wrong. Just pointing out you missed a detail.

As for me, I was in my first 20 person group last night. We brought the HOUSE down, I swear! Like 4 or 5 new droids doing effects while we all did "our thang". It was great. Now I only have ID left.

Yeah, just waiting for the buffbots to pick this up. You also don't need to stop playing to just drink.

As for my stand on being AFK, I feel that if you're grinding and you're stuck in a cantina for hours on end, it is nice to get up and stretch your legs. Imagine sitting there for 18hrs watching your xp slowly creep up and seeing the same scenery all day long. I was going insane. And its not just one day, its almost a week for dancer and almost another week for musician. 10(consecutive days) * 18(hrs/day) = Insanity

I'm not for joining a group and leaving immediately. I always like to get to know everyone for a bit before I leave and I'm completely against the leader going AFK for any length of time longer than a bathroom break.
