Simply put, factory support for Fireworks Show Packages.
It's a little known fact that Entertainers have the abilty to program show packages far above and beyond other players. We can set varying delays, adjust the order of a package, and really create a much nicer show than the standard "20 seconds of bang bang bang!" you see most of the time. However, it is a HUGE pain to hand make each show package, manually adjusting each parameter, and then repeating the process over again for the next. Often after a couple of well thought out packages, I begin to slack, and not care as much and rush. An Entertainer programmed package can be used by any player after its programmed, and I would love to be able to set up a small cottage business selling special shows at reasonable rates. It's impossible to do that with the huge time investment it takes to do just a few packages to my satisfaction.
Solution- I would love to be able to spend my time on research, testing the effects, tweaking the timings and coming up with a truly exciting fireworks show, THEN be able to convert the finished package into a manufacturing schematic, that I could load into a factory, and have the factory run off finished, programmed show packs.
Ok I know its not realistic to push for this, in light of all the things we would like to see in our profession, but it really is something that is truly "ours" as Entertainers. It was never listed anywhere I can see, and I only discovered it by chance. I would like to know what people think of this small enhancement that I think could do nothing but increase the sense of fun in the game. Hwat do others think?

Is this true? I'd never heard of this before either... as far as you know, is it just a little extra cool perk? Available for any entertainer, Novice and up?
Very cool! Now I'm going to have to run out and play with fireworks too, and see!
Ideas... ideas... might be worth pushing a bit for this suggestion after all... maybe not so crazy...

Wow what a discovery. Yes it is reasonable to push, you can make a factory schematic for normal fireworks why not these special ones?

Sorry, but this is not true. There is no perk.
I have a non-ent character and she can quite happily craft fireworks and put together complex show packages. This feature is available for everyone who puts packages together, not just the crafters of them.
The fact that anyone can put them together is further reiterated by when our local fireworks expert puts together a huge show, he gets everyone who can help to put the show packages to gether in set order with determined delays - so it becomes a community effort.
That said, yes it WOULD be nice to have them as a factory schematic - but this isn't something that is Entertainer only.

Can your non entertainer adjust the delays? reorder or removethe events in the package? check again. My master artisan can't, yet my master entertainer can.
To clarify: anyone can assemble 20 different single fireworks into a package, only an entertainer can adjust them to make a show up to 200 seconds long after they are inserted there.
Addendum- I took a master artisan I know who had 15 spare skill points, and trained in Novice Entertainer. Before training the only option was Add event. After training, the only option was still add event. It is possible that this is a Dancer/Musician ability and therefore doesnt beling here in the Entertainer forum. if that is true, you have my humble apologies. More coming as I test further, but my original tests done when I first discovered this over the summer were that some form of Entertainer gets access to the extra abilities.

This sounds very interesting.
I'm an artisan, I love fireworks and I'm always up for just dabbling with new things and toys. So to hear that some kind of perk exists for Entertainers to modify firework packages intregues me greatly.
Could someone, who is not a master Entertainer please confirm this? I'd love to know where the ability was given.

Been a fireworks fan and an entertainer for a long time. Never thought of assembling a show as an entertainer but always wondered why they were not adjustable for my artisan. I will have to try this. If it is true, nice find and thank you (nearly two years in the game and I still learn new things)

This is true. My master ent/dancer/musician has options to remove, modify and reorder events as well as add them to show packages. My master artisan/tailor/architect who cranks the show package containers and fireworks out of his factory only has the option to add events. This has always been in game..a friend & I used to make tons of shows.I think it sort of sets a president for adding a lot of other entertaining, yet not limited to ID,dance & music, features to entertainer. Hadn't made a fireworks show since last summer..think I will tonight tho.

I can help shed light on this. My master musician, A'lanna, often helps the person whom Kyorlana was referring to in her post. He is also a master musician now and we are both able (when assembling packages) to set added options aside from the simple "add event" such as : delays, change order, etc. So, if it is already proven that someone in the mere "entertainer" tree is unable to obtain these added options, I can say for sure that at a master musicianlevel, I am able to use these options. I can not, however, confirm that you would receive the ability at either novice musician or dancer.

Last night I was thinking that I remember being able to do this as early in the game as before I mastered entertainer the first time but, unable to tell if the memory was real or I was just sleepy, I edited my above post. I poked around this morning a bit and found this reference on Allakhazam where a poster states that he wasn't able to get the additional options after dropping master entertainer. Too bad he doesn't say whether or not he dropped the whole prof or *just* master. Time to enlist some noobs to make fireworks!

Aulric the perpetually novice entertainer did not have the additional options for fireworks events in show packages. He is 0000 novice. (nothing more fun than a fat Ithorian in an Elvis suit dancing rhythmic!)
