Any fast ideas? No one responds in Coronet to get into a band. I'm just starting ent and got to 0304 yesterday in MO on Dant. Should I just stay there, leave the ole computer on all day, and hope to level like that? The musical xp is slow... Any faster ideas? The healing xp is fast and cool... Also, my action bar was close to 0 in a few minutes today fater i started on the music line of entertainer for the fourth box... so, any suggestions to a new ent and aspiring musician? Also, can i get the macros to buff so that when i get to the master musician please?

thanks much...

Asking for buff macros won't really get you anywhere here. Try taking a bit of time while you're playing to learn the macro language, its not hard to write one.

Get your stats migrated toward action by an Image Designer, this will work best for a human, but every little bit helps for other races.

The key to advancing is getting in a band. If coronet is a zombie land, try Theed. Be polite, don't spam, and PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to spatial to see if you were answered. I can't tell you the number of times a rookie comes in and spams for 5minutes, doesn't notice a single answer given to him in spatial, then says somethign pissy and leaves. If you notice anyone in the band who is talking like a live person, send a polite /tell asking who the group leader is. Politeness and persistence pay off. Worse comes to worst, begin your own group, but don't be jerky if you couldnt get into the big band. These people are going to be Entertaining at your side for a while, and being a snot early on makes it hard down the road.

If you Flourish once every 4 seconds for training purposes, you will need to invest a significant amount of you points in the stamina and quickness. Even more so when you start to buff. Else Accarram can help a bit, it buffs all 3 action stats (the food ones by 400 for 40 minutes) and you can normally use two at the time.

Do not go afk, what you are doing now will be what you will be doing when you hit master. So you will need to find your fun, and better sooner then later. Try different towns. On most servers Coronet is full of AFKers, try Theed or one of the cities on tat. The mining outpost on dantooine might have another live player as well. But every server is different with witch NPC cities attract the live entertainers.

Try looking in this topic Lowca do not appear to have an entertainer channel. But you could start one and post it.

Good luck.

k, thanks for info

Um... If I'm only a low level ent 0304, then i can't be in the band though can I? I can't play the high level songs can I? And, does anyone know a vendor on Lowca who sells this food to increase stats?

Thanks again for info.

I have rarely seen a band that will not adjust for new players. Even as a master I rarely hesitate to switch to SW1 for new entertainers unless I'm specifically performing in an all master group. Even in an all master group we have switched when the big group is full or all AFK and not inviting new people. We only ask that people joining our group stay at the keyboard.

The way musician experience works you can be playing your highest song or your highest instrument so the song doesn't really affect experience significantly.

When I lead a group, I always ask musicians what their best song is and get the band to play the best song everyone can play. If it's starwars1, so be it. If you can't play the song currently being played, just ask for a music change for the best song you have. As long as you ask for a music change, you should get it.I onceinvited a girl into a group and shekept changing the music to something only she could play. I would change it back and explain to her that not everyone could play that song and please ask before doing a music change. She ignored me and changed the music to what she wanted again. I insta-booted her from the group and I apologized to the band for her selfish actions. YesI got a hate /tell from her but she refused to understand that not everyone was at the same level as her.

As for accagram (sp?), you could try to look on the bazaar for it first (galaxy wide search) then try to find a chef vendor from the map menu. I can't tell you prices because they vary from server. I usually have some luck finding a vendor that sells it in singles and crates on Valcyn (don't remember prices though, lol).

Hope this helps and have fun jamming out tunes

and Elwyn beat me to the punch, lol

If you have Novice Medic, try TendDamage to heal the Action bar. It wounds your Mind sub-stats, of course, but a few flourishes will take care of that. I run a macro that stops playing and tends damage twice every couple of minutes; that's enough time for Mind to recover before the next heal. As your level goes up, the higher songs and instrument cost more Action, so either the timing or the number of flourishes will have to be adjusted.

I'm not quite there yet myself, but I find the best way to get there (as others have said) is to play a lot, and be polite and considerate while you do. Let people know you aren't an afk bot; talk to them when they walk in and most of the time they'll watch you instead of someone who's just on autopilot. Most cantinas I've been in that had people in them - the band leadershave been very good about inviting new entertainers. Also, it's good to go where the action is - Theed is apparently almost always jumping; Mos Eisley is good, too, and Coronet has almost always been fullfor me. And if you see new entertainers (newer than you, anyhow) help 'em out; if you give 'em some clothes or training they'll appreciate it and when they see you again, they'll be happy to join your band.

The bottom line, though, is to enjoy being a musician. If you're just looking at it as a grind, it's not going to be as much fun for you and it'll be a lot harder.
