Thread: Why Entertainers need 15 more SP
You need exactly 16 more skill points to get all of the entertainer masteries. I know... this has been my dream for a long, long time. I have a character who I plan on making a master ID that is currently a Master Dancer/Entertainer/Musician and am debating which (Dancer or Musician) to drop skills on so I can get master ID. I don't want to have to drop any of the skills

Well, it's an idea anyway. Master Entertainer is really a worthless badge IMO, but you have to train up the last three branches to make Master Dancer and Musician. This leaves a dream of Master Image Designer unattainable by about 15 points or so. You can train up to 4414, but that's it. I think that the costs of Master Dancer and Musician should be lowered just enough to allow another 15 points so one can also master ID if they wish.
Mind you, this is my suggestion, and if I'm way off, I welcome the reasons why. Just don't get personal.
Master Image Designer, Novice Muscian, Master Dancer. If you are strickly talking character usefulness.

Do MID, MM, MEand as much as you can in Dancer. The nalargon (and music buffs) are worth it over their Dancer counterparts, in my opinion... I know I'm happy with just popular2 and poplock2.
There are plusses and minuses for both these options. I know that Musician Buffs are the more useful, but I am better at and love Dancer more (I have 3 Musicians and 2 of those are also Dancers, but then I have 2 Master Dancers with no Music skills
). Right now, since my character that I want this for is already Master Dancer/Entertainer/Musician, I am taking my time going up in ID. I figure that by the time I need to have made up my mind which to sacrifice (Dancer or Musician) that I will have made that decision. I don't want to give either of those skills up... but am torn between functionality (Musician) and aesthetics (Dancer).
The only thing I would lose from Musician wouldbe a) better buffs, b) the ability to play the Nalargon (I never play it now) and c) the Virtuoso song (which I don't really like). So the only consideration here is really the better buffs... and this character doesn't do all that much buffing (mostly for friends on group hunts). If I could get my hands on a +25 music buff skill tape, it wouldn't even be a consideration. ![]()

The main reason I don't worry about being able to master ID, Dance, and Music is because it would be like mastering 3 elite combat professions. I don't believe that is possible either so it balances somewhat.
It was my original template for an old alt that I wound up rerolling.

If you're willing to sacrifice dancer healing, and 2 of the exotics, you can do 4241 dancer, and still have MID, ME, and MM.

Or, I could sacrifice Musician healing, the Nalargon and Virtuoso and do 4/2/4/1 Musician, and still have MID, ME and MD. That's the problem, sure the one would be of more use to customers (musician buffs are better than dancer buffs) but I really love dancer more than musician... and I would not lose any of the songs/instruments that I do like to play if I sacrificed Musician instead of Dancer.
As I said, it is a choice between functionality (musician) and aesthetics (dancer)... and I am torn between the two. I would love almost any change to skill points and/or thecost of the professions that would allow me to have all 4 Masteries... my ideal would be to allow us to get all of the entertainer based professions as long as we don't learn any skills from any other professions.
