About a week ago my droid and I were hanging in front of the Cnet starport where the Nalargon and Entertainer Trainer is. I was just messing around playing w/ my droid and working on bandflos as I do there often (once in a while other musicians and dancers will wander by and stop to jam. Have had some HELLA good performances happen that way). I turned on the speakers and microphone then noticed a system message that I just recieved an "Accolade: Live Performance Event". It shows up on my character profile as a badge or as having mastered a skill.

Anyway, I did a forum search to find out more about it and the search list came up empty. Has anyone else earned the Medal? (ya right...like I'm the only one who has) and is anyone able to tell me what it was I did to earn it?

If you're nearby whenever a Live Event occurs (IE: stormtroopers invade Coronet, some kind of scripted event), you get the medal. More than likely something was going on that you weren't aware of, but I've gotten this medal myself on Shadowfire for being in Theed when a Dark Jedi Knight showed up at the starport o.O

i've gotten a live event badge (technically 3 of them, 2 in bestine and one in dant mo) but i don't think it was titled "live performance event." i'll have to double check to be sure, but it could be something different.

Yes, I have earned that medal. You get the accolade event badge for participating in two live events. LOL in my case it was in helping blasting the sandpeople out of Bestine. I maybe a Dancer but I truly hate the sandpeople.

Hmm... do you have a screenshot of how it looks in your bio? What exactly is the text of the badge there? There is a badge "...has participated in a Live Event", which you get when you, well, participate in a Live Event (d'oh), but "Live Performance Event" somehow doesn't sound like it...

I have one as well. I was at band practice and we all got one

was the highlight of my Musician career so far. Someone upstairs saw us doing our thing in the Tyrena cantina (vacant) and rewarded us.

you get these from being present when a live event is being held (usually in a city) the devs will spawn random creatures.. maybe ATATs.. i even heard one time they spawned ewoks on corellia and one of em stole a swoop. dunno if that one is true or not but ive been there for the random creature spawns.. i was at one at anchorhead where lots of imps landed in shuttles.. i was at another in bestine during halloween where nighsisters and big spiders spawned. When these events happen everyone within a certain radius gets the badge. Hang out in a player city long enough and youll likely get one.

Last major rash of "Live" events was on April first. The Ewoks landed in most cities, and caused mischief. Before that, the "celebrity" sightings of Leia, and Vader conferred badges. It's entirely possible you were rewarded for what you were doing, but more likely you ended up on the edge of something.

you get them when there are live events going on and you are close by
