I think one person should be the tip spokesmen and all tips should get split like money does on group missions. After all that is what entertaining in the cantina is all about. A group/band making money with each other to help out their fellow person(s).

Shouldn't money be split for the group, instead of having everyone complaining, asking, even beggingfor tips? I swear that is the most annoying topic to listen too.

I got a 100 credit tip for playing for 2 hours. While I wasn't complaining, begging or even asking for tips for myself, I felt lucky to make the money, but how am I supposed toadvance for 100 credits a night?I will not beg for tips.. I find it more annoying than anything else.

Maybe not completely split... i like the idea of having the entertainer who gets the tip keep 50percent, while the other 50 is split among the rest of the band/dancers. This would even things out a bit, but keep it so that the person tipped gets the biggest portion of it.

As I've posted on another thread:
It needs to be a toggleable option by the band leader. Sometimes you're in a pick up band and you don't want to split tips. Sometimes you're in a regular band with members you know well, that's cool. Giggin'

Other times the person tipping only wants to tip one person.

So a /bandtip command that only works when it's turned on by the leader is my suggestion. Automatic or enforced splits are bad.

I am 9 tmies out of ten the band leader of the group - kjust due to the hours I play and ppl I play with - I am not the official band leader. When ever someone asks for the bandleader or asks the tips to be split up I personally give everyone the exact same share- now the other day I only counted 5 ppl ad the tip was given to us as a group - the tip was 10000 credits I doled out 2000 to each person and kept 2000 myself - I noticed that I had left someone out and I personnally gave the last person my 2k and went without - it was my fault for doing the math wrong in the beginning. If the tip has not been specified for the group I keep the total. I have also been known to tip customers that entertain me. I do not currently run missions or gigs (haven't since the first weekend) my only side job is selling intstruments -though I may get tipped quite well I will chip in when ever anyone from my group needs it - as they give me help when I need it. This is how a close grup of entertainers should act in my opinion

There is no way I want this to happen. I have never gone afk from my keyboard, not even for five minutes but people do it all the time. Im there, chatting with the customers, talking, doing my job, and my tips should be my own. That goes for everyone who is tipped.

If someone wants to tipsplit they are usually smart enough to count out the group and divide what they have accordingly. But they know a lot of people are afk, or arent really interested.

Group split will only cause more solo entertaining. It is not the solution to few tips.

I agree April, i will not be part of a group that does tip spliting, i don't feel comfortable with the rest of my group getting a portion of what i worked for personally. I don't just dance for people, i talk, joke..and hey, yea i flirt a good amount too..while half of them are afk or just silent. Entertainers are supposed to, "Entertain" not just hit the macro, flourish or not, and watch the exp and money flow in. It takes effort and i don't want someone getting a share of what i put serious effort into.

You try getting tips as a male musician... i could chat and joke all day, and flirt with the occasional girl, but i still dont get tips worth a **edit**. Why, might you ask? Because most of the people who tip big are horny teenagers who just want to see near naked women dancing. They dont even notice that the music is making it even better or whatnot, just that the shes there and shes flirting.

I would still like to see a sort of split option. Maybe 50 percent to the individual, 50 percent split to the group. This would make it so the individual would get a good portion, while the band members would get at least alittle. The band is ALWAYS overlooked, considering they arent worth tipping if a female dancer would flirt and get more suggestive for it instead.

I would like to see an option given to the tippee to let them tip the group vs tip an individual. Trying to locate every member of a band in a crowded cantina can be difficult and it's easier for the tipee to just give a tip to the dancer closest to them (I say dancer because normally the dancers are in front of the customers with the musicians behind them).

I don't think that having an option to force tips being split among the group is a good thing. Many times we are tipped for things other than performing ~ mind outa the gutter there I meant training ~ If I'm paying the top dancer in the group 4k to train me I want her to get it all. And enforcing split tips would just cause the *cough* exotic dancers to leave the group thus decreasing both the tips and the experience gained from a larger group.

If SWG would incorporate the EQ /split option that would assist us as well since we could when personally tipped just type /split 100 or whatever and everyone in the group would get a portion.

You've gotta realize these..*exotic* dancers are helping you out, You're getting more Ent Healing exp than you would be if they were to all disband and make their own Showgirl Show in the Cantina. Besides, they deal with more comments and rude people just because they're dancers (not nessesaryily naked or baudy) and i think they deserve the compensation for putting up with it. The musicians usually don't get harassed in any way though i've seen some female ones scantily dressed that get some interesting propositions and i'm sure they get tips too....

if the entertainers chat with me or even say hello to me when i walk in they get my attention and they will be the first person i watch or listen to. they will get my tip. if they feel it necessary that person can split the tip with their group members.

if the whole band is active and i feel welcome there with hellos and such, each person will get their own tips.

i have no problem making money and i have no qualms on spending it.

i have a problem with group autosplit as to i dont want an AFK entertainer getting an equal share of an entertainer who is talkative and flourishing like a madman/woman.

in conclusion:

-active entertainerswho talk and greet their customers and do the job of an entertainer(flourishing mixing it up): gets the biggest tip (tips of 200-2000+ credits/visit/person)

-active entertainerswho are quiet or kinda talkand still do the job as an entertainer: gets a decent tip (tips of 100-200 credits/visit/person)

-AFK entertainers who are macroed and such (yes i do let people know if they have the AFK tag over their head to see if they are AFK or not): gets a small tip (20-75 credits/visit...not very good in my opinion)
