So, the band I normally play with is large, usually 4 to 6 musicians. We link our flourishes with someone calling them out, i.e., "1,4,8,3 on my mark". Give everyone 5-10 seconds to read the numbers and get ready. Then say "mark". With a little practice, you will be performing simultaneous flourishes. We did 6 in a row one night and man it looked so sweet! As band leader, I usually do a bandflourish about halfway through completion of last flourish in the sequence. It just kind of adds a nice touch at the end. It's a lot of fun to try to time these right. Kind of like Parappa the Rapper, lol. If you guys already do this and I am behind the times, here, then just ignore this post completely.

Yes, already do here I posted about it under 'Alternative to band flourishes'. Rather than just doing what you have mentioned, I have some different routines we use and you can just call out A (or whatever) with so and so leading. Works well for free jamming but adding the professional look. Also do songs here, again, I think I mentioned it in other posts
