I picked up a copy of SWG on Thursday.... having trouble deciding on a class tho. Theres really two classes that catches my eye, Bounty Hunter and of course entertainer.....

If I choose entertainer would that be a good and fun class? Is it hard to be one? Any and all help is welcome. Just can't seem to decide...

Fun? You bet!! We have lots of fun dancing / playing together in various cantinas accross the Galaxy. It's fun to watch customers come in and out, and follow their adventures through them. It's fun to chat with your bandmates and just hang out. It's also fun to see the Image Designers progress, because they can change anything about us.

Hard? Gameplay-wise, compared to a combat profession, it is not that hard. The hard part comes when you've been dancing by yourself in a cantina fora few hours, and not a single customer has arrived. That's when your dedication truely shines through! Sure you could go find a more populated cantina, but why shouldn't you make a name for the cantina you've picked?

Being an entertainer is great, I definitely recommend it if you like socializing with lots of interesting people.

Been a while and haven't played much.... but what would be better a male or female entertainer? I'm not sure if I'd like playing a female toon but never know. Any ideas?

I'd say pick a role that you'd like to play, and the sex will probably be determined by that role.

Couldn't agree more, Skywarp. Everyone in Mos Eisley seems to go to the main cantina to get their New Hope kicks, but - let's face it - the Lucky Despot is the place to be! Check out the stage! Check out the loveseats! Check out the best bantha steak on the planet!

It's worth playing there on your own for a bit, trying to drum up a bit of business. Fame costs and right here's where you start paying, in sweat.

If you have to ask this question, perhaps you should reconsider your decision to be an entertainer. It sounds like you're a maximizer; someone who wants the best stuff, the easiest playing time the quickest route to success. That's not what being an entertainer is about.

I don't have much to base my opinion on so I could be way off base.
