To my knowledge there is no such command. My suggestion is that this would be a great asset for entertainers. Most commonly a person will pick a random entertainer and just tip them, although the whole group is working hard too. I think the devs need to take a look into this. Please give a post to keep this alive. Also if someone has already suggested this, don't tell im behind the times or anything, just never sawa it and have not seen it added so we must keep posting about it.

You have my vote. vhff1aa whatever our rep's name is can you put this on top of your list of issues? It seems like it'd be an easy-to-implement, very useful feature.

the first week the game came on line the "autosplit" feature was working... when multiple entertainers were grouped the leader could turn on the autosplit and all tips were split. Recently we've tried turning the feature on but it never works. This should not be hard to implement... i mean if a group does a deliver mission the reward is split so the concept should be similar. The only problem is, sometimes the customer is a "fan" of a particular entertainer and genuinely only wants to tip that person... but i'm sure the details can be figured out Right now in my cantina (Theed cantina on Kauri) we have a regular client who comes in and sends a tell to the bandleader asking "how many are in the group today?" he will then tip the bandleader 1k per bandmember and ask that the money is doled out accordingly. WOOHOO to him, it's tough work on the bandleader but atleast he realizes the group effort involved in entertaining ok... i'm not really saying anything usefull... LOL

I have to agree with this, it's a major pain trying to tip 12-15 individuals in a crowd.

most of the time i generaly tip 4 or 5 random people which i think isnt's fair to the rest but, trying to select and tip 15 people in a large crowd can take longer that the time it took to heal my bf

knowing it worked and was beeing used i would have no problem droping 5-10k to a band for hanging out in the cantina for a while instead of the random tip to a few people, and you know everyone gets a fair share they all deserve it.

please Devs help entertainers out and make thiswork asap

autosplit is lame and should not be a feature imo. For reasons stating, someone might want their tip to go to the individual they tipped. Implemintation of a /tipgroup command I am all for, because then the person will know they are tipping the entire group.

there should be both.

/tip - for an indiviual performer

and

/tipgroup - for the whole band

i dont think an /autosplit command should be used because someone might just want to give one person a /tip.

I like the idea of /tipgroup. But I also don't mind auto-split. I realize that people might want to tip only a person directly, but might not always be available. Take, for instance, the real world and many fancy resturants. Often it is the rule that your tip gets split between your waiter, the head waiter, the chef, and the host. Sometimes there's a couple more people thrown in as well. This all happens without your knowledge or consent. The idea being that they all had a hand in you enjoying your experience at the resturant, even if you didn't see them directly. To extrapolate that to the Entertainer class, SOMEONE has to play the melody while the Master Dancer does their work and the Master Musician plays amazing rifs. It's the whole package - otherwise it's all flash without any backing.

Man, give the bass player some love, that's all I'm sayin'!

Flurryguy - you're absolutely right.

2 seperate commands so that it's up to the tipper on who and how to tip.

So it would be something like this?:

Patronselects 1 person.
/tip 500
Gives that person 500

With the same person selected
/tipgroup 500
Splits 500 amongst the selected persons' entire group/band/whatever.

It would need to still use a name as input (IE: /tipgroup Alich 500) Otherwise it would be hard to say which group you are tipping if there is 2bands playing etc. I think this is a great idea. You should also be able to tip object to single people (clothes for example). "/tip name" should bring up a box like the trade box, but just for giving. that's what I think, anyway...

Oh, and plz take away the 5% charge for bank-tipping!

Hello,
I've been thinking along the same lines. It's a pain to try to manually tip everyone individually. However, not everyone I might be listening/watching to are necessarily in the same group. I propose /tiphouse {amount}. This would work by splitting the tip between everyone you are currently watching/listening to (whether directly because you targetted them and used /watch or /listen, or indirectly because you targetted one of the group and did /watch or /listen). That is, split the tip amongst everyone you have been benefitting from. That way I don't have to worry about who is grouped with who.

I like /tipgroup and /tiphouse. However, I don't like the autosplit. The obvious problem with this is that a player can go AFK and use macros while grouped to share in tips that the rest of the band is earning by putting on a good show and interacting with the customers.

Yes, I realize the band leader could always boot the person from the group, but when there is a large band, sometimes this is hard to notice.

I thought about this some more, and I realized my position doesn't make the most sense. The same thing that I argue can happen with autosplit can easily happen with /grouptip or /housetip.

Personally, I would prefer to see the customer have the choice of doing /tip individual or /tip group. My biggest problem is still the entertainers that don't provide as good a show or go AFK and then would still get an equal portion of the pie by virtue of simply being in the band.
