It would be cool, and actually let us open cantinas with some hope that people may come listen.

Right now a merchant can put a vendor on the map, so that might help some of you, but it's too many skill points for me to ever get Advertising III. Besides, you can only /register in a building which is on the map, not in a building with a vendor that's on the map. So just because a merchant could name the vendor "Wemi's Cantina" it doesn't tell anyone that Wemi is actually there playing.

From what I understand, this is something that will be tossed in when player cities are implemented..
