Here is my rant for today. Not that I rant often, its just I’ve finally had it with AFK Entertainers.

“Don’t forget to tip your entertainers!” says the AFK Entertainer. I ask you – why should a so called “entertainer” be tipped when they are doing me no entertaining? AFK Entertainers ask for tips when all they really want to do is finish their holocron! It’s a scam I tell you! They are all trying to trick their listeners into thinking they are doing something special for you when all they are doing is grinding. You don’t go and tip the AFK Surveyor do you?

“Please heal me if needed” says the AFK Entertainer. This is the one that I found the most absurd. “If needed” that is the most ridiculous thing, you are so lazy and so bent on finishing your holocron that you wont even stay at your desk to ask nicely, when you need it, for a heal and then tip your healer (which none of you do because you are not there to do it.)

“If I’m not in a group, please invite me” another common phrase I hear as I stand in the back of the cantina. This also can be avoided by simply being there at your desk, at the game that you spent money on.

That’s right AFKers it is a game. Games are meant to be played. Not by computers with looping macros but by humans taking part in a community of real people.

In German, game and play are the same basic word – speil (speile for play and Speil for game). So a Speil is ment to be speil-ed.

For my closing statements –
Developers: please realize what you’ve done by implementing holocrons – you have destroyed game play for entertainers and I’m sure plenty of other professions.
AFKers: please, stop asking for things you don’t deserve. You have done nothing but write a macro, you do not deserve tips and heals.

Jumbling: A F K E R S…….
Result: Fakers

Amen.

it's ok hon, they're asking you to tip your ENTERtainers, not your MACROtainers. go figure O.o

If I posted the same thing with a pro-AFK slantit'd be trolling and the thread would be closed for not being constructive.

it is "das Spiel" ... the is "the game"
and "spielen" ... this is "to play"

So it would be "Spiele Dein Spiel"....

nearly the same as "Lebe Dein Leben" ...
which is "Live you life"

As a dedicated combat prof, I prefer AFK entertainers. Healing bf is my "downtime" where I take a piss, get some food, etc. ATK entertainers want to talk, and quite frankly I don't but I'm not a total a__hole so I don't want to just totally ignore them either. So I feel obligated to at least say "sorry, I'm going afk." With AFK entertainers, I don't have that hassle. Also it kind of bothers me being called "hun" by what is in reality somesexually-confused teenage nerd.
