Thread: Small Additions To Master Entertainer

This is justtwo small additions to the Master Entertainer box that I feel will make it more fair to all the entertainer professions:



  • A skill mod that shortens the ID timer

  • A skill mod for Musical and Dancing Mind Enhancement

Image Designers finally get their much needed representation in Master Entertainer. Also, both musicians and dancers can benefit in a meaningful way.


Yeah, we'd ultimately want new hairstyles/colors in the box and a unique dance. Maybe our own special effects.However, the above changeswould take about a week to do and would hold us off (I think) until we get those larger things. If we ever get them...

A good idea, but I'm not sure we'd be able to get it. Giving mind enhancement bonus in ME would be giving entertainer a skill mod for a skill it doesn't get. I don't think there is any precedent for that currently.

Well, Master Entertainer should still give something crucial to the elite professions that branch off of it. Kind of how a Master DE needs a Master Artisan to craft certain components.


And to the devs reading this: no, wound healing mods are not crucial...

Great ideas, but most certainly will never come to fruition.


Please note: This is *nothing* personal against you, the Devs despise doing anything for us, ever, pretty much as a rule. They don't do anything for us. The Devs HATE Entertainers. That is the conclusion I've drawn from their complete indifference to us. 3 elite professions and 1 non-elite, perhaps. But in the Devs mind we may as well not exist.


You can try what I try, imagining a game where we actually get our gameplay improved in some meaningful way. We get to do new things, and our suggestionsgo somewhere besides the recycling bin.


Does that make me pathetic? No.


The Devs making me BEG and PLEAD and YELL and SCREAM for the SMALLEST concession or consideration of improving my gameplayis what made me pathetic. Being imaginative is what keeps me from quitting this misguided game.

How about adding Ranged and Melee Defense mods like in Master Musician and Master Dancer?


Yeah, it might not help our profession directly, but could come in handy during our treks into the wilderness. Or in getting into that blasted Village.

How 'bout Battle Fatigue Healing (Music) & (Dance) +25? That'd be a hellacious incentive to get there for me, since the only other bonuses to fatigue healing are in Musician and Dancer.I might even do it just for +10. I wouldn't for less than that, though. I miss my mandoviol, Ceremonial and Formal2 a lot, but I need Master Brawler to supplement my PvP skills.


Oh...and how 'bout giving a Master Entertainer the ability to Image Design a vendor as if it were the Master Entertainer herself? (So that the ID would be hitting accept, and not waiting for something from an NPC that can't hit Accept.) Something Merchants want, something IDs would love to do, and a reason to be a Master Entertainer for Image Designers. Of course I'm sure it'll never happen, but it's a nice idea.
