Thread: Post hologrind cantinas?

With the hologrind gone for good this morning, has anyone noticed a chance in the cantinas since last week? Things have been changing over time since publish 9, of course. But now that it's completely gone, have the cantinas changed?

Well, at first, I thought the bartender had moved a few feet closer to the entrance, and that two of the tables were out of place, but then I realized I just was looking from the wrong angle. The Theed cantina at least seems to still be intact.
Joking aside, I'll report back when I'm off work and can get in game.

I'm interested in different people's perspective, which is why I posted a thread instead of just going to look for myself.

. I figured you were looking for people's perspectives, and will contribute mine as soon as I have one. But yes, thanks to your sig being pointed out to me, I now also have laughed at work heh.

Unfortunately holo-grinders are only one of the groups who litter the cantinas with AFK zombies. The other groups will still be in there dancing away or playing sw1 til the way we entertain is improved. Those folks are;
- Heal/Buff bots - NPCs designed to "help" combat alts.
- Profession/Badge grinders
- People that heard you can make millions with an AFK buff bot. (*laugh*)
- Current entertainers that are rerolling a new character but are sick to death of listening to sw1 or dancing basic. (Yes there are many of these.)
Until the profession is revamped cantinas will be one of two things.. AFK seas or deserted. (Until we walk in haha!)

And then there is the potential for Force Sensitives AFK-grinding xp for FS Senses XP as well.

There's already a huge difference in both the amount of people in the cantina and the number of afk entertainers. AFK entertainers have ALWAYS been in the cantina, this is nothing new. Last night in the Theed cantina I had conversations with entertainers, one or two duels (just messing around) and a bit more fun than ive had in a cantina in a long time.
I was actually able to RUN inside the cantina instead of having to slow down and walk in (for quite a while if i ran in id get turned around and my fps would drop really low).

Last night I was cooling my heels in the normally deserted Nym's Cantina. There were players running in and out constantly - none looking for healing or buffing though. The hologrind may have ended but apparently the "Badge Grind" has begun. When I went to Theed to offer my own substantial mind wound healing to a novice entertainer prior to logging for the night I found a group of oblivious entertainers. So I'd have to say some things are still the same... AFK entertaining is still a problem ... and some things have changed...previously empty cantinas are now hubs of activity. But none of the changes are what I would call good ones.
