Very interesting... can you recreate it? And if so, post the steps you did here soothers can reproduce and correlate the findings?

Saw similar things happening, with Musicians who were playing an instrument, but when you try to /listen it says "**insert character name** is not currently playing a song." They were playing a Nalargon while "dancing."

So, now it seems that one not even need to be a Master Musician or Master Entertainer to play appropriate instruments. Wahoo.

Did you actually hear your Mando music start up as well? The /startband bug can make people who are dancing appear to start playing whatever instrument they have equipped, butI don't think that also starts the instrument's music.

Easily reproducible, it's the old /change and /start bug..
Start dancing with a mandoviol equipped. Have someone in the group /change to some song (or you may be able to do the /change yourself).
Nope, you're not *actually* playing it, but it'll get you in the animation.

This happens with any instrument when someone does a /changeband to a song you know. (It and a number of other bugs are why I try to discourage people from using /changeband unless it's a planned performance, just stop and start a new song instead, with everyone joining in individually, it's safer.)

You aren't actually playing the instrument (As can be seen by uneqipping it, you keep animating) but it changes your state anyway. You don't even need to be dancing for this, just standing. If you are dancing you can flourish, if you are standing flourishing tells you "You are too tired to flourish" even with full action. In either case, you do play music, but it is the base sound of the music over and over and over again. No amount of flourishing effects the sound you're making. If someone was not playing and is AFK, theres nothing you can do about it but kick them from the group once this happens. And as a dancer it's annoying to get caught by this.

(And using it purposely for increased xp gain is an exploit.)

I've done this on TC, and it was quite scary to see myself playing the narg.

You can't flourish but you CAN get caught up in a bandflo.
