Thread: Fastest Way to level up the ID Box?

Those who've said they've done it really fast, probably did it before the changes. Before the new interface and timers, it was possible (with a set of mind buffs and brandy) to completely master ID in about an hour. Not just what's needed for Master Ent, but the entire ID profession.
Since they made the upgrades, it takes a lot longer. But that's what the Devs have always wanted: People to take time to play the game and learn their profession.
The best way now is to practice on yourself whenever you have free time. Shuttle waits, vendor runs, guild meetings, or while waiting for your action to recover while performing are great times to practice on yourself or others. Or, if you have a friend willing to let you 'play' with them, take them into the ID tent and work on it while you chat.
It's a lot of time and work. Not everyone is willing to do it.Andthat's part of what makes Master Ent so special.

Another way to do it is to get a friend to sit with you in the ID tent and just ID them while you chat. You get twice the xp if you ID someone else, and being in the ID tent cuts the wait time in half.

i did that from 9 o'clock until server shutdown (4am here) and got 2-0-0-0 in the ID profession.....took way to long so i dropped ID but kept what i needed for master ent

Once you get to Novice ID (which in and of itself takes forever) your best bet is Stat Migrations on others. It's worth 2,000 xp and takes 10 minutes. Even with a perfect efficiency you can only get 1,500 xp doing eye color changes (5 changes at 2 min each worth 300 xp each). It does require that you have someone there to work on though. Another reason it's good to have friends in the game.
I normally do stat migrations on Kirah to practice and then play with her makeup case and hair dyes to have fun with her appearance. (Hmmm....I still need to rinse that purple dye out of her hair, don't I)

Fastest way to get through ID 1-4 in the Entertainer line:
- Be in the ID Tent
- Have a willing victim who is running an auto-accept macro (available in the FAQ on the ID Forum)
- Make changes to your victim'shair/lekku/eyeshadow*/ridges (whatever it lets you change) until you get to ID 2, then do eye color until you get to the level of ID that you want (or until you reachNovice ID... if you decide to become a full time ID, start doing stat migrations at Novice)
Good news is that the ID timers have all been reduced, so it won't take anywhere near as long as it used to.
*Note: I like to use a victim that has eyeshadow (such as a human, zabrak, twi-lek etc female)because you can just turn the eyeshadow on and off, thus doing minimum damage while you grind those first 2 boxes. The xp for multiple changes doesn't stack, so doing more than you need to is only useful for experimentation purposes and I am a firm believer in not doing any more than I have to to someone who is helping me grind. If you have an alt that you can work on, then go for it, but don't mess up someone else's character any more than you have to.

Hey guys Im a master Musican Master Dancer since friday. anyways I also want to master Entertainer but I find that Working on ID is so boring. and slow I thought I might be doing it wrong because iv been told people doing it really fast. I was just woundring what is the Best feature to Grind from Novice entertainer to Entertainer 4-0-0-0. Thanks guys I really appreciate your help.
